Does the US government really make the value of the US dollar? When inflation was out of control in Mexican America, the US government had a lot of trouble stopping it.

I don't know why you're connecting paying taxes with a currency with it being legitimate. I don't think those things are related

That's not how the complexity of the mining works. It doesn't increase with every block. It scales depending on how many miners there are (essentially). So if many people stopped mining, the complexity required would decrease.

How far back in time can you go to right wrongs? Everybody has ancestors who have done wrong. Indigenous Australians had wars before white people arrived.

At some point you have to leave the past in the past and build a more equitable world for all, today.

Consumers also have to change. Giving up meat is easy

Lots of people eat meat today. I can imagine a future where this is seen as immoral and not following the golden rule. But for some reason, humans currently choose not to apply the golden rule to animals.

Similarly in the past, they didn't apply it to indigenous people.

Criminality is a tricky one. What was legal in the past may not be legal nor ethically sound today.

I'm all for that. But I think many people feel more responsible for righting the wrongs of their ancestors than of other wrongs. I think we should help all those struggling, independent of who caused it.

It's not my guilt to carry. I wasn't born or wasn't involved in these racist acts. Blame the people who were

Your book looks like an American thing. I try not to consume too much yank media. I read "See what you made me do" by Jess Hill a few years ago. Is it significantly different to that?

What are you doing to prevent DV? (Not a challenge, I'm genuinely curious if you're part of any efforts)
