Fair enough, I just thought it was pretty late and usually no one expects a SOTD post at this time ๐Ÿ˜…

  • Brush: Omega Roma Colossea 31 mm
  • Razor: RazoRock Cyber Medium w/ 316L Bamboo handle
  • Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum
  • Lather: Wholly Kaw - King of Bourbon
  • Post-Shave: OAM - Dolce Vita ASB gel, moisturizer
  • Fragrance: Trussardi Riflesso Blue Vibe EdT
  • Passes & Info: 1-pass head shave; rather comfortable except for one nick due to a bump on my scalp.

Shaved my head before the late shift and forgot to post. Oh well, nobody reads this I guess.

Yeah, their brushes aren't the best, but the razors & razor handles are really great. This is the bamboo handle and while it has no knurling, the ridges allow me to put my fingers on it to fine-tune the angle and pressure just right. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  • Brush: Omega Roma Colossea 31 mm
  • Razor: RazoRock Cyber Medium w/ 316L Bamboo handle
  • Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum
  • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. - Texas on Fire
  • Post-Shave: Southern Witchcrafts - Valley of Ashes
  • Passes & Info: 2 pass head shave. Trying something else pays off: the most comfortable and smooth shave I had in weeks!

Today I was in the mood for trying something different than usual. Since my nose is still a bit stuffed, I wanted to go with a really harsh scent. Since I used Stag recently, my choice was Stirling ToF: this is the smell of your clothes after a long night sitting by a huge campfire. Kinda evokes funny memories from my childhood, when we could still make fires in the autumn season and it wasn't prohibited.

The brush was stuck in my dopp bag for almost a year and since I never travel, it hasn't been used since then. I have to be honest: it vastly outperforms any RazoRock brush. Those Omega fibers are really dense and don't cling to each other, so it was super easy to get a great lather today. I should stop being cheap on shaving brushes, it really feels leagues better to use a high-quality one.

Then the one thing RR does best: razors and razor handles. I actually got this one because it looked intriguing and unique to me. It's smooth but shaped like a bamboo cane with pronounced ridges. Turns out that it is probably a match made in heaven with the aluminium Cyber head: it's nimble, has great handling with every type of grip and despite the smooth surface, never once did I lose my grip. That was seriously the best and easiest head shave I ever achieved with the Cyber Medium, which was my main goal when I bought it.

So today the planets finally aligned and I had an awesome & blissful Sunday dome shave. Hope everyone of you had a great weekend!

Don't beat yourself up over frequent posting. Do what you can do, as long as you do it with passion and don't view it as a chore it'll be alright ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I agree. I mean, I like a smooth dome as much as any other sly bald guy, but I need to stop chasing BBS perfect results every time.

Happy to hear your water is back to normal. Super soft water is basically what I have around my area of Germany. Takes a bit more to rinse lather off, but it's way better for tea, coffee and drinking it directly from the tap. There's always a tradeoff I guess ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

  • Brush: RazoRock Beehive 28 mm
  • Razor: Stando Perun
  • Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum
  • Lather: E&S Rasage - Shaman
  • Post-Shave: OAM - Oli del benessere sensitive skin toner; Alterra Men sensitive ASB
  • Passes & Info: single pass WTG head shave to avoid upsetting some previously irritated areas. Worked well. Not very close, but really comfortable.

I'm still tired but I wanted to shave again. Got a bit of a head cold at the moment, but nothing serious.

I've chosen a mild razor, slick soap and just went WTG in order to avoid scraping up some nicks from my last head shave. The result was a very comfortable shave all around. Have a nice time!

Given that my previous posts cluttered up the SOTD threads a lot, I made the conscious decision to keep everything brief here. Everything aside from shaving and related topics will from now on only appear in the FTF thread.

  • Brush: RazoRock Beehive 28 mm
  • Razor: Leaf Thorn
  • Blade: Derby Premium half-DE (fresh)
  • Lather: Chiseled Face - Ghost Town Barber
  • Post-Shave: alum block; HAGS - Barberwood toner
  • Passes & Info: 1-pass head shave. Rushed, runny lather. Multiple weepers. No bueno.

Just a single pass head shave. Couldn't do more. Busy day with a totally crammed schedule. Paid the price: overhydrated the lather and got a few weepers, so the alum had to be used.

Pro-Tip: don't shave when you're mf'ing exhausted and tired.

Definitely! Each has a different character, so to say.

Thirded, especially the stolen hour once "summer time" rolls around really fucks me up for weeks...
