They don't need to push everyone later, they just need to start the younger kids early, and the older kids later, which is the opposite of what most districts do now. Pre-teens have no problem getting up at 6AM.

Alexander Hamilton: "So, what happens if the executive branch just doesn't follow the law?"

James Madison: "I can't imagine that happening, but if it does, then the experiment is over and we're all fucked."

My entire career, I got a one-hour lunch, and two, paid, ten-minute breaks.

I know some will say you'd rather not because that's just more time at work, but with a one-hour lunch you can leave work, that's the whole point. It's a real break. One hour is enough time to go to a restaurant, or you can eat at work, and take a short walk. Half-an-hour is barely enough to time to eat and use the bathroom.

I guess what I'm saying is unionize.

Same. But, I'm just old.

Okay. I guess some people want this? Considering all the keyboard shortcuts that make Blender usable, I gotta wonder how that would work, though.

Belief without proof is faith, and faith is religion, or cult--I feel like there's something there.

Of course, the only thing in is the You Mad Bro? meme.

More interesting would be the trend over time.

I suspect this is down quite a bit from previous generations, say, 50 years ago.

If you drive the same route every day, for instance commuting, your mind doesn't bother storing events it has experienced hundreds of times before. So, twenty minutes into the drive when you happen to try to think back to what has happened recently, you get nothing. Because, nothing of interest to your mind happened.

Because, you sorted through the results for them and posted it. Why would they do the work themselves, when they can get a human to do it for them?

I have hope that enough of the people who voted for Trump now see they were duped and that the mid-terms will be a rout for the Rs. Not a lot of hope, but hope.

However, I don't want to think too hard about what they will try to do if that comes to pass.

  1. The sorting method does not have a description in the help page (the little question mark link)

  2. Sorting posts by Controversial doesn't show them by date, so I need to scroll through, looking at the date to find anything recent.

I like sorting by Controversial for entertainment purposes, and to make sure the comment I intend to make, which I expect to be controversial, hasn't already been made--which means I should just upvote the existing comment.

It's not like I make a ton of controversial comments, but sometimes my thoughts do run counter to the hivemind, and I want to say so.
