This is very much an aesthetic build. They started with the tires and built everything around them, not knowing if it would even work at all.
It's turned out to be surprisingly stable and rideable. In the video this screenshot came from; Ethans able to basically lay the bike entirely on its side, then stand it back up again with just a bit of throttle.

You're not really looking for long-term storage, so as long as the material holds up for a few min while you fly around... You may even want it to disolve to destroy evidence and ensure the acid is actually deployed.
I don't use proton, but with Bitwarden you've got to explicitly click 'save' after making changes. I'd imagine proton is the same there; so you probably typed in the new details then just clicked away without pressing save.
