You know, that's a good point.
I spent a couple years living in Australia: The McDonalds' over there uses local Australian grass fed beef for all of its burgers and they were honestly delicious.
Moved back to Canada though and the McDs over here is just abysmal. I'd feel bad giving it to a stray dog...
It definitely varies region to region.
McDonalds doesn't even use auto-lifters on the deep-fryer baskets either right?
The little bit of past kitchen work I've done (in a different restaurant), there were rails/actuators that would lift the baskets out of the oil when the timer went off; but I've never seen them in a McDs before. Much easier to overcook stuff.
I'm happy to use a self-checkout if I'm only grabbing a handful of items. That tends to be quicker and easier than waiting for an attended till to free up.
There's no way in hell I'm taking a shopping cart of stuff through though.
I haven't eaten McDonalds food since I grew out of the play-place's. That's right around the time I realized the food itself is garbage (compared to pretty much every other fast food chain); and the 'quality' has only gotten worse and worse over time, while the prices just keep rising.
Combine that with every location near me having better options on the same block and there's no reason to ever visit a McDs.
Central vacuums too

That's an awful lot of cost and effort to launch a ship specifically for 'rescuing' another ship that's not really in any trouble, it's just a bit slow.
It's already got the supplies it needs, a set course, and a plan for when they arrive at their destination. It doesn't really need help.
Then there's the problem of docking one ship with a second ship that likely wasn't designed to/with a dock. That's not a trivial task in a vacuum.
TBH unless they are in some sort of distress; it seems better to let their plan play out. They'll arrive when they were expecting to, and will have less work to do setting up a settlement when they arrive.
I hope exhibit A of the defences evidence is Elon telling them all to go fuck themselves.
