Assuming the new app doesn't suck. Vortex was pretty shitty even on Windows. Manual modding is trash because it is impossible to keep track of your mods (unless you're a very casual modder with only a handful of mods), which means eventually you just have to nuke the whole folder and start fresh. That's why you want to use a proper mod organizer.

Interesting, and fairly new it seems. Vortex & MO2 kept breaking for me so I kinda stopped bothering with Bethesda games.
You're missing out greatly then because most good mods won't be on the workshop at all.

The moderation issue on Reddit is also a problem that is already extremely prevalent here on Lemmy, which more or less shares the same system. If foreign actors like Russia decide to influence the Fediverse (which is already highly radicalized), they'd have a very easy time. The modlog even actually helps abusive mods more than the users who become target of mod abuse, since they can just scrub the evidence and provide bullshit mod action reasons that most people who read it will just take at face value without actually questioning them.
If it were this simple, then we'd not have anyone freeze to death nowadays. Either way, it goes all past my initial point anyway.

Without protection, you can already freeze to death when it is around 10 degrees Celsius. Right now it is around 0 degrees during the day, colder at night. And it isn't just about surviving. Go take showers that hurt your skin and make your limbs go numb for a while and it will severely affect your mental state.

I don't believe in "cancel culture" anyway. If I have issues with people, be it for their extremistic political views, or because they're just asocial assholes, then I'm obviously not going to bother watching their content, or buy their products, whatever the case may be. That's been just regular people behavior until the US culture war bullshit made a buzzword out of it when people didn't put up with various MAGA people stuffing their beliefs into everyone's face. Skip forward some years later and we reach the hypocrisy of them doing / advocating to do the same thing regarding left leaning people.
The more concerning matter though is just how many people watch not just people who are assholes behind the camera, but in front of it, like all those "pranksters" and whatnot.
Not if the admins are just as shitty as the mods, which I've seen plenty of by now.
