I agree with the idea of staying an upholding your values, but as an Italian, let me tell you people can be pretty ambivalent about people from countries like ours, just as I happen to be seen as either a lazy criminal or a poet cook navigator with nothing in-between, you guys can be seen as dumb and vulgar rednecks or cool rock'n'roll cowboys.

I've been hearing this for every version of Windows since XP. If Linux is to become mainstream, relying on Microsoft's fuck-ups may not be enough.

Well of course all of this depends on a lot of factors that may be different for each person reading these comments, but in my experience, recruiting companies get paid only if you're hired and remain at the company for at least a few months (I've seen 6 usually), so it's in their interest to find a good fit.
And when I was on the on employer side, we paid a fee that was proportional to the hired person's wage, so they of course tried to get as high a wage as possible.

BTW I'm not suggesting you just answer job offers or such, what I meant is you should contact a recruiter directly and tell them you're looking for new employment. Of course they're not all good, unfortunately.

After wasting some weeks answering messages on LinkedIn, I contacted the recruiter who got me my previous job, did one interview, got an offer from them the next day, an offer I'll probably accept.

If you want them from an EU company but don't care where they are manufactured, there's Carrera, an Italian company, I've got a bunch of their stuff and it's decent quality, although the looks of their stuff changes quite a bit with each collection, so I don't always like what they're offering at a specific point in time.
