There are lots of businesses hosting their own nextcloud as well, this is a serious problem for them.

Yeah and the countries that don't will pass you by and become your next lords. It's an unfortunate situation humankind is in.

Discomfort pay. I think doing disgusting or hard jobs should carry EXTRA pay.

Yeah but a degree is not a get-out-of-shit-job-free card... We all have to take what the market offers, or get creative, start a business, etc.

And it's not like people without degrees don't put effort into improving their skills.

As long as the majority of people can just forget unpleasant jobs exists and leave them to the less fortunate, the incentive to make them less shitty is weak.

You should get income regardless

Don't confuse technological and societal progress.

It may not be positive for society, but you still can't stop progress, if you don't develop what's possible, someone else will.

Well it increases access to the issue tracker to people who have a discord account but not a GitHub or whatever account

If that's what it takes for Americans to reach their limit and claw back some dignity from their owners...

You still can't stop progress, so you've got to solve that issue another way

I flip flopped a bit over the years on my laptop, right now I'm on KDE as I feel it's the better DE at this time.

On the desktop I'd always go with KDE, no question.

Aside from what @SoleInvictus@lemmy.blahaj.zone wrote, ideally we'll reduce human labor to overseeing machines, at least on industrial lines, over time.
