Unto me should you give the allegorical item known as "it"

Wench

What kills me is that I did more research verifying the actual numbers of Democrats and total number of people in the houses of Congress than it would have taken to read the article.

Yet, I did not read the article.

(Assuming numbers from parent comment are correct) To put another way: about 60% of Democrats in the Senate and 70% of them in the house.

These account for 29% and 34% of the total House and Senate votes respectively.

That feel when you discover you can't quote text super easily in your chosen app ToT

But without doing the full point by point response from that first section, I'd say I largely agree which some minor/nuanced disagreements.

On the meme but, I can't wait for a Political Compass Meme community to spin up already. I'm shuffling some things around in my personal life, but maybe I'll do the thing when (if) I finally spin up a Lemmy instance.

I as well feel completely politically homeless. JRE, Breaking Points, Tangle, and other news sources make me feel like that's okay, but man when I venture too far into the main stream you'd think we're the reason Eve ate the forbidden fruit, ya know?

Apologies if my comment came off as hostile, but glad it resulted in some reasonable chatter!

Calling Trump Center-Right feels disingenuous.

It's almost like representing political beliefs on a one dimensional scale is, itself, flawed.

Yeah, but it also feels really critical of stay at home moms, even when it's the chosen lifestyle.

I mean, wouldn't cranking up Union dues, and then using said dues to help struggling Union Members follow socialist principles?

If one adds some good faith faith to the meme, that seems to be an approach to handling the current pay issues.

unquestionably using this to crack down on dissenters

That's a typical tactic used by these authoritarian type regimes, but I haven't heard anyone focusing on that. Can you point us to any reporting on this?

Yeah, the arresting people based on tattoos seems extreme af.

I'm curious how this whole ordeal is gonna be looked at in the next 5-10 years. I doubt there will be as positive of an outlook about it, but for the sake of El Salvadorans, I hope this mellows out in their favor.

Yeah, from everything I've heard, the people are loving the effect Bukele is having on the country. Guy sounds like he'ssuccessfully dancing the razors edge of cracking down on gangs without destroying the lives of innocents.

While I generally disagree with authoritarian governments, it really looks like this is the template for what authoritarian regimes can actually accomplish with a benevolent leader in charge.

Any suggestions on how to bead in on it's connections?

I'd expect it to use some QUIC type protocol reaching out to one of the generic Google shortcutted domains, but that's 100% speculation and 0% testing.
