Any tips on how to better use Obtanium?

At a glance, it seems to give me what I've always wanted (that is, access to all the switches and levers behind the scenes), but it is a bit overwhelming to start with.

I like your logic. I'll need to chew on that thought to make sure I agree, but that's a really good point.

I would argue the traces on a PCB are the same as wires. They take the same form (highly conductive material thats insulated on all sides) and do the same thing (carry electrical signal between two devices with minimal interference)

You're not wrong. I make enough money at my current work that I'm hoping to be able to stop working w/i about 10 years (I'd be in my mid 40's) and then go do some kind of outdoors work (ideally as a park ranger or game warden) where I'd be able to get back to my redneck roots and be away from the city 75% of the time.

I'd take a substantial pay cut for the opportunity.

Yeah, story, characters, and weapons were dumbed way down in 4, and let's not forget the endlessly repeatable quests.
shivers in "Another Settlement Needs Our Help"

But the gameplay was def cranked up several notches (drugs actually doing something useful, the ability to sprint, a dedicated grenade button + slot, properly executed power armor, etc)

Yeah, anything to get them from reddit is good.

Plus, once they get a feel for Lemmy and the wider fediverse, they can then migrate their account elsewhere.

I guess I could see that argument.

If I understand correctly, 1938/39 is when Japan started getting frisky with Manchuria / Northwest China, to which Chinese immigrants / Chinese heritage Americans on the US west coast demanded action by the US government, which then caused the US to stop selling steel and other industrial goods to Japan, effectively starting a trade war.

I don't think I agree with your conclusion, but I def see the logical basis and how it relates to current world events.

Derp, my bad, yeah I'll fix that in my comment.

I don't want to be pedantic, but it seems 1933 is the year with the closest analogy to what you intend, since thats the year the Nazis took power.

1939 would be when WWII kicked off for Europe. I guess one could say the next World War is cooking off, but I don't think thats what OP intends to be commenting on.

~~1940~~ 1941 is when the US was dragged into WWII......I guess i would say that's the year that put the World in World War II....Uh, but yeah, gonna have to hard disagree that we're there yet.
