Didn't bother saving off / making note of where I saw it, but was just browsing the comments of another thread and saw someone saying the only answer to anything slightly conservative is to "ridicule and make fun of them". This tactic seems to cause middle of the road ish people bunker down instead of being converted, which only contributes to the extremism we see today (at least that's the way I see it).

As overused as I think the saying has become, I def agree its important to occasionally go out and touch grass some times.
Just wanna say I appreciate the leniency from the mods. I find this an interesting take and topic. Thanks for letting it stand!
Mostly as a heads up, looks like FelixCress's messages were removed by mod. Can you share more context in what those were about?
Not that this is a means of discourse, but there's a newsletter I've gotten a lot of value from: Tangle.
The whole idea is to give a "facts first" assessment of the news topic of the day, followed by what prominent voices from the left and right are saying about it, followed by an editor's take (usual guy has his biases, but I've always found his take sensible, even when i disagree with it). Its pretty US centric, but when they cover international news, they tend to include a section for international takes too.
They do a free daily newsletter and podcast Mon - Thurs, then a premium only letter on Fridays and Sundays. The Fri/Sun ones are mostly interviews.

Was going to be skeptical about an obscure distro, but I see they are currently #2 on Distrowatch. Can't believe I've never heard of it before.
Appreciate the recommendation, I'll def look into it!
When my win 10 gaming box EOLs this fall, I'm probably going to jump it straight to arch, since it looks like the most straightforward way to build a Steam OS like system.
Yeah, but isn't net zero the huge milestone that's actually accomplishable in "our lifetime"*?
*on some self reflection and as a millennial, very net negative emissions feels accomplishable in my lifetime, so I suppose when I'm saying "our lifetime" I mean before the Boomers/Gen X die off.
What about reusing the bag clip plus the twist and tuck method?
But as an extra layer, weren't Dumbledore and Co in on Sirius being framed? I thought it was low key known that Sirius "being a bad guy" was just Ministry propaganda or whatever.
