It's being stretched like a rubber band. When it snaps, it will be spectacular.

The administration equivalent of putting a piece of tape on your dash to cover a blinking check engine light.

The whole point of a nuclear ICBM submarine is that it can hit anywhere on the planet from anywhere. Moving then closer to their target is stupid.

Classic Russian style corruption. Charge 1 million, spend 1 thousand, pocket the rest.

There is no "deal" with Trump. Only slightly less extortion leading to more extortion further down the road.

The Fentanyl excuse is also pure BS.

I am not particularly intelligent, nor particularly knowledgeable on the details on how OSes and kernels work. And I'm comfortably using Linux. One more reason why more people should.

But I agree that it would be very nice if legislation was finally passed to prohibit that spyware bullcrap most of the big players have trying to force down our throats.

1- The second paragraph could very well be interpreted as suggesting that hypothetical threat allegations being fraudulent and therefore suggest the opposite. This is downright bad faith from your part.

2- I'm being mad at someone calling me a "liar" and trying to continue to force their own erroneous interpretation of my own words after I immediately clarified it for them and who keeps doubling down on it even after further explanation.

3- You call it "vague" and yet still claim that I "absolutely did" mean what you think I meant, once again giving yourself a completely unwarranted benefit of the doubt on the matter against the now overwhelming evidence.

4- Everyone else interpreted it correctly except you.

5- Why the fuck would I even accuse Anon of making death threats when they were never mentioned in the article to begin with? It is much telling that this is where your mind went immediately.

6- You came here looking for something to get angry about and thought you found it by diagonally reading through my comment and jumped to conclusions. Now that I called you out on it you decided that it had to be my fault instead and are going further down the rabbit hole of inventing all sorts of malicious intents from my part.

7- You don't have to admit it to me, only yourself. Because you will be blocked as soon as I have sent this. You will be the first one I've ever blocked on Lemmy over a comment argument too. I thought I had left this crap behind me when I dumped Reddit years ago but some seem to have followed. Which by the way also refutes your new unsubstantiated accusation of having made my original "deliberately vague" as if I had created some sort of trap to attract people like you. You can now rest assured that I don't want people like you in my life.

"Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine. That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them," Trump said on Truth Social.

It has become obvious that Carney doesn't put much value in a "deal" with Trump's US anymore.

I have an old Laptop (MSI MS1721) that I want to repurpose as a media player on my TV. I have installed an old SSD on with Linux Mint XFCE.

Almost everything works well, with only one exception. The laptop's graphics card (ATI HD3850) requires proprietary drivers that haven't been supported since Kernel 3.4. The replacement open-source drivers cause stuttering while playing videos, which makes it useless for my purposes.

Are there Linux distribution options out there that would fit my needs?

Edit After trying a wide array of distros including Ubuntu 14.04, Linux Lite, Linux MX, Bohdi, Linux Mint Debian Edition, Nobara, Debian XFCE and CachyOS, I was pleasantly surprised to see that CachyOS performed very well and still feels like a modern OS and runs surprisingly smoothly with KDE. It looks like the open source drivers do work decently after all depending on the distro you're running and how well optimized they are for your CPU.

What if Trump was really into this kind of stuff and everything he has been doing is a secret genius plan to make sure people will pee on his grave for decades, if not centuries to come?

The next logical step of the current GPU development

"Avoidable attacks"

Had an early RoW, dumped 6 upgrades into it ASAP. Ended up with tons of +3 gear drops throughout the rest of the game. The grim greataxe with +8 ring of Arcana and +7 Ring of Furor meant that all enemies were executed within 1-3 hits. I had a ton of scrolls of transmutation as well with which I gave myself almost all of the desirable abilities from other classes. The only thing that I couldn't get to make it even more overkill was a camouflage enchantment on my armor.

Seed: FQT-ZHV-WLL although since most of this gear was a random RoW drop or the result of a lucky transmutation, your results may vary. There is also a very useful unstable spellbook early on. The imp also gives you a +4 ring which at that point you can transmute to whatever you want.
