A lot of bullies just have high levels of confidence and good social skills. Most of them work out their sadism and lack of empathy in childhood and become well-adjusted adults.

Do you remember that one time you thought up a really clever come-back for that kid who bullied you, and when you finally get a chance to deliver it it doesn't land at all and the bully is completely unfazed? That's what this energy is. You can't bully the bully, that's not how it works. Not sure what the play here is, but this ain't it.

Honestly it's super dumb. Ukraine's attacks on the Russian oil industry are one of the smartest things they can do. It's basically how Ansarallah got their ceasefire with the Saudis. The US can just have the Saudis press the 'more oil' button if Russian supplies are disrupted, and it's Russian exports of of oil and natural gas that are keeping their war economy going strong. Maybe this is just noise to placate European capitalists suffering from high prices.

Yep, Russia is fighting an aggressive war no one is too enthusiastic about dying for while Ukraine is fighting a PR war to try to pull in enough Western weapons/money to keep things going.

They would have been in a much stronger negotiating position vis-à-vis France. Now they'll get all the expenses of supporting US nuclear subs and only one boat to show for it. They should pull out of the deal, but they'll just double down like with the F-35.

Also simply the fact that Russia has it's hands full in Ukraine and can't do a whole lot for Armenia. Russia also is fairly tight with Azerbaijan.

Getting out of the way before a Zaluzhny coup? If she burned her bridges with him...

She can make more money this way and she might be back under a different administration.

Germany would be a great place if it weren't for all the Germans.

There is so much potential for efficiencies if the state can subsidize and guide software development. It should really be treated as public infrastructure to be efficiently managed for the public good rather than a means for private monopolies to siphon as much rent as possible.

Forgot to mention that they were spotlighting the Pussy Riot people before they were even Pussy Riot. I remember something about an orgy in a museum.
