Every conservative, from the highest ranking official down to the lowest blue collar worker, believes that they are the exception. They will be spared. They will see their enemies under their boot.

If Putin continues his way, Trump will be on the underside of Putin's heel and he'll have the biggest Pikachu face the world has ever seen.

It's so much worse for the US

France was our first ally. After the revolutionary war, France was the first to recognize us as a country.

They were the first NATO nation to join us in the global war on terror after we invoked Article 5.

Make all the "France surrendered" jokes you want but they have given more to us than we have given them, diplomatically speaking.

Trump is just giving every ally we have a huge middle finger that will take decades to overcome. All so that Trump can feel like a big man.

No it does not. I wish they did.

Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully because they explain important information about using your copy of the Firefox software. These Terms are a binding agreement between Mozilla Corporation (“Mozilla”) and You.

Mozilla grants you a personal, non-exclusive license to install and use the “Executable Code" version of the Firefox web browser, which is the ready-to-run version of Firefox from an authorized source that you can open and use right away.

Looks like you double posted. I'm going to delete this post which has less points.

You don't need to be a lawyer to read legal contracts.

Their proposed terms of use changes the executable from FOSS to a proprietary application with their source code available.

Firefox, when run completely locally, requires no license to your content because it is not a legal entity. Mozilla, however is.

The only reason Mozilla would require a license is because it intends on using your data outside of your local device.

Remember that to these people the law exists to oppress.

"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."

I've been a part of a few companies that did it right.

Before COVID, the stand up room had no chairs, only stand up tables. One TV and you had 20 minutes. Stand ups were back to back.

The most efficient use of my time as both an engineer and a people leader because you were forced to stay on task.

No bull shit. Just "I did x. I'm stuck on y. I'm waiting on z."

Are you pulling directly from root servers? I run pihole but it's upstream is Cloudflare.

Yeah a lot of states passed "you must carry a doctor's note to wear a mask in public" laws during COVID.

I've written to my Republican state lawmaker only to receive a form reply.

I recently checked and saw that over the span of 10 years, I have donated a lot of money to Mozilla. That stopped last year when they started pushing AI in their browsers that required opt out. They were listed in my will as a r 50% recipient of my estate, but has now been replaced by the EFF.

They are pissing off their main base for short term "profits".

I get that things cost money. But Wikipedia costs money too but they are fiercely user centric.

Firefox used to be. Likely due to pressures from Google and other ad companies. But still, they could do better.

There is simply no reason why Mozilla needs a "non-exclusive, royalty free worldwide" license to my content unless they plan on using it for their own purposes.

Firefox, running locally and under my direction, does not require a license as it is not a legal entity. It is a product.

Any argument from Mozilla to change the TOU without also removing the language for a license to your data is made in bad faith.

It's really that simple.
