There is a book that I wish I could remember the title of because it deconstructs fascism. The goal isn't fascism but cronyism. The in group is a concentric circle that gets smaller and smaller as you reach the top. Once power is concentrated, you dole out power based on your influence with the person at the top.

But because the in group is so small, you are more likely to have coups. It's why fascism often doesn't stay in power long because someone more power hungry will come along.

Putin's days are numbered. He will be deposed either by his death or through a coup. He can only escape one of those.

I feel like matrix isn't a one-to-one replacement. It's a good slack replacement.

I haven't used matrix enough to know for sure but does it have the discord equivalent of servers?

"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."

The law will not be used the way you think.

It's okay when rich white people do it.

Iirc there are people forming GitHub repos that the government uses with the goal of restoring them when a better candidate comes into office.

But even that is not a guarantee

We individually need to decide at what point has Trump gone too far

At what point will we say "Enough is enough. We are no longer a democracy. We have nothing else to lose except our lives."

I fear civil war is upon us and we will see the first shots fired within the next four years.

Because Trump knows that China can and will fight back.

Canada and Denmark are friends of ours that Trump is now throwing salt in their eyes and saying "neener neener" while showing them his ass.

Because of our history, they aren't fighting back.

If they do, Russia wins.
