We only welcome them if and only if they over correct.

I.e. they start actively campaigning against Trump, publicly and without hesitation.

Because if they don't, they'll likely come out in 2026 and vote Republican again. And in the likely event that Trump goes for a third term, they'll just be racist again.

Brown until proven white and rich.

This is about flexing their power. They are showing that they won and they are going to force their values down everyone else's throat.

Don't belittle them by calling them pathetic. Call it what it is.

This is fascism.

Keep in mind that there was a gunman that shot at Republicans and no meaningful gun law was passed as a result.

Only if you're white and conservative.

That's the thing I don't get from Fox News and other conservative outlets.

Who is paying these protestors? Why is this never a follow-up question? Why isn't anyone from Fox or any other "journalistic" org investigating this? Or at least pretending to?

Let's assume that these protestors are paid. The most conservative estimate of the number of protestors is 2 million. Let's halve that because, you know, conservatives want to downplay this whole thing.

Assuming everyone was there for no more than two hours, and assuming minimum wage, we're talking $7,250,000 for everyone. Let's assume half were paid and half "followed along".

$3,625,000 just for paying the protestors. Ignoring web site domains, salaries for organizers, etc.

Let's call it an even $3 mill.

Who the fuck is paying that?! This isn't chump change. This is "journalism 101 follow the money trail" kind of money.

I mean, I know, and you know, why they aren't investigating. They just need a boogyman.

But damn even the most cursory look at this excuse falls apart.

What makes you think he's destroying capitalism?

The Republicans have basically made it so that billionaires can purchase whatever they want at a steep discount.

This is going exactly as planned.

Dude. We're on Lemmy. Don't be advertising some closed source app.

Missl is the best federated, defense first, FOSS war planning app available. You can self host using docker or use one of the many public instances.

It was never about protecting women. Just like it's never about "protecting the children".

It's about oppression.

Jesus Christ man.

This is what's wrong with America. You're not thinking of the shareholders.

DOJ will give Chevron $1b for their consultation on the clean up.

The people who voted for him are the ones that specifically remember his first term and said, "Yeah, I want more of that."
