He wants to do eugenics in the same way that Trump wants to deport "gang members".

The filter is going to be arbitrary and going to be used to target people that they disagree with.

As an American, I do not take it personally that Canadians and other countries are boycotting the US. it's understandable, appropriate even, and I'm fully supportive of it.

The only thing I ask is that when the resistance comes that you find ways to support us, covertly if necessary, but public if able.

Of course not. Even in 2016 Trump was a figure head. Back then there was what was called the silent resistance of White House staffers who did their best to undermine or at least lessen the impact of their programs.

I have been saying for years the problem isn't Trump returning to power. It's people like Karl Rove and Steve Bannon, with the charisma of Obama that we need to be afraid of.

Turns out I was half right. Trump is still the figure head that allows the literal deep state to do the work of the Heritage Foundation. He is the alt-right's Obama.

Forcing the UN to split their forces between Ukraine and Greenland....

Totally not what a Russian asset would do.

I've been screaming this since the days of digg: no one reads bills. I do for this very reason. Once you get used to reading "Washington speak", you can get a general sense of what a bill is going to do and what it won't do.

Given the hype, it wouldn't surprise me if this was a false flag where the alt right is trying to tire us out by having yet another thing to worry about.

We can only do so much. I'm not saying stopping Israel isn't important. I am saying we need to pick and choose our battles. Of the things the Republicans are doing, it's nothing.

All things considered, Costco is a better company than Walmart, Amazon, et al. They have a cap on how much profit they are willing to make and the CEO is on record telling people to fuck themselves for demanding to increase the price on their hotdogs.

Not saying this to convince you to change your mind, but I have started getting more and more items from Costco instead of Walmart and Amazon if I am able to.

I'm on the interview rotation and absolutely hate my company. I have a canned answer for this question and it sounds genuine.

And I give every person I interview a recommendation because I want to get out of here.

A jury of his peers literally found him guilty of several felonies.

Upon sentencing, the judge said, "Woopsie! I guess we can't put you in prison because you're a president now. Oh well."

I had this happen after I changed my unlock code and then locked myself out.

I imagine part of this is a conflict between their logic for reinstalling your settings and the fact that your credentials have been changed and you need to unlock them. The account restore workflow doesn't have a path for people who recently changed their passcode but need to log in.

I ended up abandoning the process and starting over. But gave me the opportunity to try a new launcher.

"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."

Republicans don't care about hypocrisy but they know that liberals and Democrats do. In fact, they get gleeful when they know they are getting away with things that they know Democrats never would.

Pointing out Republican hypocrisy does nothing to change their behavior and I would argue only emboldens them.

Here is the bill (it's like two pages)

I'm not a lawyer so I could be reading this wrong but this law doesn't apply directly to citizens, per se.

The law that it modifies basically makes it illegal for a company to contractually require you to boycott another company that you disagree with, but one that is allied toward the US.

For example, imagine you're the CEO of ACME and you want to do business with Aperture Science, Inc. Aperture can't, as a condition of you doing business with them, restrict you from working with Israeli companies.

That all being said, I do not trust this administration will use the law for it's intended purpose and will instead use it as a club to beat people with.
