AOC suffers the same problem as Nancy Peloci: she's too demonized by the GOP. It's an odd problem to have but she would need to retire from the House for a few years and run later.
If you want AOC-like, Kathy Porter is actually a very viable candidate. The question is whether the DNC is willing to let her actually run or if they'll pull a "It's Hillary's turn" like they did to Bernie.
If the choice is between a benevolent dictator and a normal dictator, I choose the former all day long.
The only reason to choose the latter is if you actually want a dictator because you believe you won't be affected or because you hope that it will rally a resistance.
Either way we are fucked.
I've been saying since the early 2000 that I will see another civil war in my lifetime. I thought it'd be in my 80s. But nope.

The GOP plan on climate is "We'll capitalism out way out of it."
Record high temperatures? Sell AC units and increase prices on electricity.
Water getting more scarce? Buy inefficient desalinators that run on diesel.
Property values declining due to increasing ocean levels? Ban ocean levels.
Yeah...you need to be hydrating if you're fapping several times a day.
That's just good science.

As we enter late stage capitalism, with wages stagnating and cost of living going way out of control, people are looking for someone to blame.
And for conservatives, if there is anyone to blame it's always immigrants, gays, and liberals. In that order.
Never the capital class.
It's another reason we need term limits. The accumulated power and influence a representative has gained needs to be checked.

I think it was Comcast that refused to connect me with a human unless I said the right thing.
No matter what method, it would either hang up and tell me to try again or just not route me to the right place.
I ended up sending a letter to my state Attorney General. 30 days later my issue was fixed.
