Are you not in the US? Equifax is a credit bureau and if you've never heard of them, you never needed credit or you're not from the US.

The other three, I've only heard of Ashley Madison because they had a very aggressive ad campaign before ad blockers became ubiquitous. One could say it was ads like theirs that made ad blocking a requirement.

I'd say Romulans instead of Klingons. Maybe Cardassians.

It's been ages since I've mounted a working NTFS mount point but if I remember correctly, it's more finicky with I/O transactions than ext4.

As a result, I never mounted or symlinked NTFS on my home directory directly, and instead mounted it elsewhere and then saved files to that location directly.

If possible, I'd consider doing the opposite of what you're doing. Keep your home directory and then expose them using samba to your windows environment. Samba is more stable than mounting NTFS, again in my experience.

NTFS may have gotten an upgrade since I last used it (early 2010s).

But if I had to choose, I'd do symlinks since doing mount points can get messy at boot time. And you'll never run the risk of the mount not being there and then you accidentally saving something in the directory.

Biden absolutely did the right thing and, perhaps, the most courageous thing.

Democrats would have coalesced around him if decided to keep going but we've been begging him to step aside. This is a key difference between Trump "fans" and Biden voters. We're not drawn to him as a personality.

Once a candidate is selected, I don't care who it is, we must support them because not doing so is voting for an end to democracy.

The fact that we're here is a travesty.

I don't have kids and I look at parents and I honestly don't know how they do it.

It's hard enough taking care of myself.

How parents take care of kids on top of everything else is a mystery to me. I assume you all get magic powers like Hermione did in the second or third book to go back in time.

Are there onion/i2p versions of pirate sites? I think we are reaching this point.

I just listened to a Behind the Bastards episode where basically....yeah, that's been the prevailing theory.

Hulk Hogan is a Republican?

Why is it always washed up actors or once-famous-but-not-so-much-now people that are Republicans?

We need more young people to enter politics.

Because it's not about blocking mind control. It's about showing others that you know "more" than they do.

I think it's more of "we pay Microsoft (or any company) for this. Make them handle it."

It's that kind of thinking that makes shit like the crowd strike problem possible.
