One minor, but important distinction:

Yes, the alt right and Republicans generally have been ramping up violent rhetoric. They broke the social contract and thus are no longer covered by it.

They are now valid targets of violence.

It's a subtle distinction but important one and one we on the left must be careful to employ because the Alt-right will use any violence against them and will respond in kind.

By chance, is flying the Nazi flag illegal in your country?

My guess is that the Trump flag is the dog whistle

Thank you for your service 🫡

Let's be honest here. She's just going to move the goal posts regardless of whatever proof is given to her.

Which means he can shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and get away with it.

The amount of chaotic good Biden could do...

  • Rob billionaires at gun point and then distribute the wealth a la Robin Hood
  • Bomb Shell corporation unless they give into his demands
  • Close stock exchanges until they donate half of their stocks to various non-profits
  • Hold ships at port hostage until CEOs step down

The list is literally endless.

If judges try to reverse those actions, Biden can then hold their family hostage until a ruling is made in his favor.

It's fun to joke about this until you realize that Trump would absolutely do these things....except, you know, for himself.

I would love to see the next president prioritize using mastodon for all federal communications.

To be fair. His farming ventures have moved his opinion on climate in a positive direction.

Standard issue conservative. They only complain when it begins to affect them. If he didn't have a farm, would he still have moved in that direction?

Nope.

A common characteristic of conservatives is a lack of empathy.

Am I happy he did? Yes.

Am I holding my breath that he'll actually vote for change? Nope.

To be clear, it's been texting only. I'm nowhere near Jim Browning or Kitoboga (sp?) levels.

But so far I've wasted three scammers time by asking them what "telegram" is.

I guess that explains why the scammer I've been scam-baiting suddenly went quiet.

Moving onto scams that have a higher chance of working.

If you're going to sell a DLC that is only a skin and people buy it, I don't have an issue. A skin adds nothing outside of "looks" and it's purely optional. If you the player want to pay for it, be my guest.

It's when games release a game that is unfinished, has bugs, and what should be a patch is sold as a DLC, I have problems with that.

Or when DLC adds a competitive advantage, that is just wrong. Like for $5 a month, you get extra "stability" in your scope, or the whole "pride and accomplishment" crates.

Those DLCs can go fuck themselves.

You have to understand that these people are clinging to anything they can use to identify others who are in their in-group. MAGA hats, diapers, and now ear coverings.

Cults do the same thing and for the same reason.
