Per researchers at Brigham Young University, 69 percent of men and 40 percent of women in the U.S. view porn every year.

Nice....

I want to get rid of FPTP voting but a recent veritasium video has me wondering if we should try something better than RCV.

Not saying I would vote no on RCV, but if we're going to change the voting method, let's do it in a way ensures that the people are best represented.

Near the end of that runner, Selena's already out of earshot when Sue answers.

That show was not supposed to be a documentary.

I'm 100% against self checkout.

They've put the burden of sale on you instead of themselves. If you fail to check something out accidentally, you are liable for theft.

If they don't have a cashier, I go to customer service and tell them to ring me up even if it's one item.

The CAH folks have pretty good lawyers. Judging purely on the fact that they formed a Super PAC, they likely have good legal cover.

I found this pretty interesting:

How do you know who didn’t vote? We formed a Super PAC and bought the personal voting records of every American citizen from a data broker we found on the internet. It’s pretty fucked up.

And later on:

How do you know who’s “blue leaning”? We got your partisan lean from the same data broker who sold us your voting history. You wouldn’t believe how easy it was for us to get this stuff. So fucked up!

If they are basing this on which primary you vote in, it's going to be terrible since people like me who live in a swing state vote in the Republican primary since that's a more effective use of my vote than the Democratic primary.

During the pandemic stimulus payments, I wanted text in every letter sent to individuals the name of their congressional representatives and how they voted on it.

I even recall vaguely someone putting this on as an amendment but I believe it got blocked. I could be remembering incorrectly.

Well, past tense in that he's no longer the president. He very much is a Russian agent now.

The segment was good but you fucking with them still wastes their time so they don't scam someone else who would be less diligent. It's still good to waste their time. It just sucks that late stage capitalism is forcing them to do the job.

The secrecy of this is the problem. We all know back then that Trump was a likely Russian asset.

I could envision, say, Biden saying "While, yes, we have a shortage here in the USA, other countries are doing worse. So I've authorized the CDC to ship a few pallets to Russia since they are having a tough time sourcing materials. Because that's what good neighbors do. So I'm asking our people to be extra diligent, rolling back any unnecessary travel and meetings until we have restocked our tests."

But we all know this was quid pro quo for Trump.
