Luigi needs to set up a PAC and announce his campaign for president. I'm not even joking. This covers a lot of sins.

The pattern of speech among conservatives always seems to be "most $negativeAdjective $noun in human history".

I'm kind of surprised that Ireland and the Netherlands aren't there. Is the Double Irish Dutch Sandwich not a thing anymore?

What about funds to raise awareness of jury nullification? I want ads plastered around the courthouse 24/7 and in Times Square.

I'll admit: I actually like my insurance. I work for a Fortune 100 company and our benefits are very nice. My insurance covers just about everything I needed it to and more. It's fucking amazing.

EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THIS INSURANCE!!!

It fucking shouldn't be tied to my employer! I absolutely hate the fact that there is a gatekeeper between the public at large and decent health insurance.

My largest concern over a government run health insurance is that it will be used as a political sword. Republicans control Congress? Say goodbye to abortions and gender affirming care being covered. Hell, say goodbye to healthcare covering anything if you don't submit to a drug test.

I sort of see why UHC would go in this direction. Case law (as in understand it) around AI and algorithms is that they can't be ~~blamed~~ held accountable on how they make decisions. Because they are black boxes, they are given a pass.

When a human reviews and denies a claim, it can be scrutinized, making it possible for the human to be reviewed and discredited. And a human might even gasp approve a case.

When it's AI, it can't be reviewed. It can be blamed, but with no responsibility, it can't be sued.

We really need more regulation around algorithms and AI or more shit like this is going to happen.

Edit: wording

There is a reason why it worked for the Republicans and won't work for the Democrats: the bases are vastly different.

Republicans, by in large, will vote for a Republican even if they don't like the candidate. I saw this a lot when I was a poll worker. They don't even care about their platform. So long as they have an R at the end of their name, they get a vote from Republicans.

While Democrats vote Democrat, they'll only come out to vote if they are energized. They won't come out to vote if they don't feel like you've earned it. We saw this in 2016 and 2024.

Simply put, Republicans are more reliable voters.

The Democrat tent is very large with often conflicting values. A lot of single-issue voters will simply stay home than to vote for a Democrat. Because of this, it is rare when a candidate will arise that will galvanize and coalesce the base.

The last time it happened was Obama.

Right now is actually the perfect time to create a third party. You have effectively two years to get people excited about an actual progressive party and if the DNC come knocking saying you're going to split the vote, tell them that they are splitting the vote and they should fold into you.

I'm fucking tired of the Democrats learning the wrong lessons from lost elections. They'd rather lose than give up power.

There is so much lore behind Community and Chevy Chase. My understanding is that Community was supposed to be his show, where he was the good guy and was the main protagonist, not Joel McHale. (You sort of see hints of this in the gas leak year.)

As the series went on, it was clear that Chevy was annoyed about their long hours, shooting schedules, etc. TBF to Chevy, Dan Harmon made every episode into a movie that required a lot of shots, something that made him disliked by network executives. It's why he got fired over Chevy in season 4.

What every executive failed to realize is that these "movies" were absolutely awesome and that's why the fans love the show. They were smart, funny, and gave you a sense that they weren't taking things seriously.

In the end, the show was better without Chevy.
