While Fallout 4 is a land of contrasts, one of the funnier bits is how so many normal household objects you loot as junk all have lead, asbestos or radioactive material in them.
I've only been seeing them trickle down second hand on deviant art and twitter. So no specific sources just increasingly prevalent (Algorithm or cultural victory?)
Honestly had I not been China sympathetic to begin with this would have been one of the more humanizing things for me to find out.

...Apparently while pornographic depictions of actual sex are quite strictly policed in China, there isn't really any laws about BDSM, in particular BDSM that is disguised as fictional media content (there's no Hayes Code type thing). So producers are making films with flimsy plots to show beautiful women (and sometimes men) tied up and manhandled by other women and men. Plots like "arrest for being a foreign spy etc". Liberal China watchers are then taking screenshots of these privately made films and trying to suggest they're evidence of the PRC's repression. Which is so funny, the most attractive woman you've ever seen, beautifully dressed in silk and high heels etc, tied up in the strictest rope bondage and being held by actors in obviously fake police uniforms with air soft guns in what is clearly a random abandoned buildings and it's captioned "PROOF OF SHOW TRIALS!!!" etc
My Unstoppables playthrough of Fallout 4 has been pretty fun so far. As mentioned on my other account I made my character the generic Nora but used Start Me Up Mod to make her an escaped Synth in Goodneighbor. If I do end up doing the main quest, this will give her motivation, because my character will be trying to understand the woman she was a copy of, while her being her own explicit person separate to those events. Currently I'm roleplaying she's amnesiac to both Nora's memories or anything from being a Synth.
I've got a bunch of the creation club I just downloaded (this one trick Bethesda doesn't want you to know). So I've made Neon Flats right in the middle of Goodneighbor my Silver Shroud Hideout on the second floor and the Unstoppables base on the top floor. I immediately did the Silver Shroud quest and saved Kent.
I'm collecting companions to fill out the team (I'm using a mod that allows multiple companions). I'm trying to pick ones who would realistically just hang out following my character rather than those with explicit jobs (Piper, Danse, Preston, Nick etc). This isn't the "real" Unstoppables, it's my character making a group inspired from them like with the Silver Shroud questline.
So I currently have Cait as Grognak in the loincloth and with Grognak's axe. I had McReady as Kid-Shroud in a spare alternative Shroud outfit from one of the Creation Clubs, but I upgraded him to Captain Cosmos with the suit and Cryo Cannon from that CC. I have Dogmeat with goggles and Ada the Robot who I'm going to make into a fancy Assaultron. I'm thinking of rounding out the group with Curie as the Mechanist once I finish that DLC.
I'm having a lot of fun, I'm just in the Silver Shroud Costume (with a Silver Pip boy) using handguns, high agility and luck, doing critical hits. I'm putting together a fully Chromed T-51 suit as Silver Shroud Power Armour for the rare times I need it. A lot of the story in that game is bad, but having a rolling fight with raiders or mutants in downtown Boston with my team is a hoot.
You have to squint your brain a bit if you're a Fallout Fan but it's pretty fun yeah.
Amazon sucks etc. But apparently because Amazon Prime TV is a loss-leader that Bezos started to try and get laid, the oversight for creators is much less.
So you get genuinely subversive stuff that's good on it like I'm A Virgo by Boots Riley.
As well as stuff like the Boys, Invincible, Good Omens, The Expanse, Outer Range, Mr and Mrs Smith, Fallout etc that's not as homogenised as the slop on Netflix (it's still slop, just with flavor).
Also there's a bunch of Chinese stuff like Creation of the Gods and the other adaption of the 3 Body problem.
It's still got bad stuff on it like Jack Ryan etc. Just it's weirdly varied.
The funny thing is the aesthetic and safe option is steam punk copper rails/handles/surfaces everyetc.
Copper kill bacteria and cleans itself. But it's not used due to costs.
