Pro-Mix BX and HP are widely available at big box stores and is what the growers use. Potting soil specifically is a product that is not effective to make at small scale; it’s one thing to operate a compost site and sell topsoil; it’s another thing to blend quantities of peat and perlite and other ingredients and package it. It sounds like you got some low-grade municipal compost; straight compost is usually difficult to manage moisture levels in.

Reinforcing my decision to avoid end user support at all costs, every day. To the people who do it, I salute you.

People with bad diets make poop that doesn’t flush easily as healthy poop that’s got fiber in it.

Also, Americans always need to invent their own way to do things (cheaper), instead of using the existing European and Japanese toilets. The early ones wouldn’t flush a tissue.

Hmm this seems to line up with some of the research (sociology) referenced in The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion by Jonathan Haidt.

Last time I think he fired this off after the harvest. It was very bad. At least this time the farmers haven’t planted. Not that I have any sympathy for them; they’re just recovering from the last time leopards ate their faces.

I can’t comment on the glasses compatibility.

Good for them but it’s a hell of a defensible pinch point if the Russians could get their act together. I hope they do not.

[…]it's not about the Canadians or Americans. This is about one guy. That will not stop them from coming,”

It’s about 70 million people, and the additional 80 million who were silent.

Basically a Chevy bolt for $11,000 (top trim).

200% tariffs won’t protect Chevrolet.

I don’t think the skills exist. Foxconn now has decades lead over competitors on assembling tiny devices with crazy low tolerances at a massive scale, with last-minute changes.

Perhaps I’m wrong, but there’s nothing that is manufactured in North America or Europe on that scale, with comparable tolerances, lead times, and speed.

That’s before we get into the discussion about labour - working hours, pay, etc.

“We can talk when you’re ready to show the level of respect to us that you expect us to show you” applies here just as well as to the White House.
