Yeah. This is a story I heard multiple times in the few times I was in the states. There was one lady at Occupy Long Beach She was 90% through her cancer treatment when she ran out of money. She was homeless with no options but to let it come back to kill her.

Other posters are giving good advice. Keep it simple. "We should hang out" is a good line. When you start to feel those butterflies just really focus on them and tell yourself they are a good thing. When you learn to like that feeling you'll be unstoppable. Good luck.
