I know someone like that who is millennial but their hoard is D grade movies and music albums. Literally thousands of albums from bands nobody will ever hear about (because they suck) it will cost hundreds of hours to find out if any of them are even worth tying to sell and at best maybe a few of them will become worth a couple hundred bucks in 20 years. But its their "legacy for their children"

Its essentaily "are we the baddies" The people of the "free world" are told "better dead than red" and that "america is the great satan" is directed against americans and not america's government. The "Free World" they sing about has Junkie mothers whos kids will get no help, empty political buzz words, destructive environmental policies.
Without understanding what you mean by " personal life has kinda gone to hell" or "worry about by pushing beyond friendly territory" all I can say is: be honest about your feelings and intentions and ask them to be clear in what they want from you. If you aren't ok with being a person they vent to that is valid.
