The Montréal Victoire have signed defender and Italian captain Nadia Mattivi to a one-year deal.

The Florida Panthers cup winning success had brought light to the differences in state income taxes. The Seattle Kraken will most likely no longer enjoy that benefit.

The referee awarded the penalty after the opposition goalkeeper made a save, mistakenly thinking a defender had handled the ball instead

Only existing since 2024, the team, who came fourth at the world championship, has changed the lives of its players

The summer's tournament in the U.S., Mexico and Canada will test players like never before given the cluttered schedule in the build-up

The French superstar, who played 10 years for Atlético, will join the MLS side this summer on a deal til 2029

In their complaint, FSE and Euroconsumers have identified six specific abuses of European Union competition law.

I didn’t really know how much fines were:

Last week the PWHL also fined Britta Curl-Salemme and Loren Gabel $250 each.

Ottawa Charge forward Rebecca Leslie has been handed supplemental discipline being fined $500 by the league.

How do the European playoffs for the 2026 World Cup work and how can you watch all the games? ESPN has you covered with an all-you-need-to-know explainer.

Seems Idalski’s full steam ahead on gold plan tactics:

“Puck luck is a real thing,” Idalski said in the post-game press conference after the loss to the Frost on Saturday, “You know, the second one they get is bouncing off a stick and going in and we weren’t getting the same kind of bounce.”

Yes, puck luck is absolutely a thing. But the teams that currently find themselves in a playoff position don’t rely on luck to find the back of the net.

After dropping their fourth in five games on home ice, should the Vancouver Goldeneyes change things? Not according to Head Coach Brian Idalski.

Kaylee Hunter, Justine Rouquet and Aiara Agirrezabala could all be earning themselves big moves in the near future

I thought the Current would’ve had the next best training facility:

The FA’s first choice of training ground was Sporting Kansas City’s performance centre, but Argentina secured it. The Engalnd hierarchy is comfortable with the selection of the Swope Soccer Village, which is the home of Sporting Kansas City’s academy teams and is on the Missouri side. The Netherlands and Algeria will also be based in the region.

Insolvency can’t hurt me, I’m an MMTist.

The earliest known english-language account of a dinosaur bone is in Robert Plot’s 1677 The natural history of Oxford-shire: being an essay toward the natural history of England. This is how he explains what we now know as a megalosaurus thighbone:

There happily came to Oxford while I was writing of this, a living Elephant to be shown publickly at the ACT, An. 1676, with whose Bones . I compared ours; and found those of the Elephant not only of a different Shape, but also incomparably different to ours, though the Beast were very young and not half grown. If then they are neither the Bones of Horses, Oxen, nor Elephants, as I am strongly persuaded they are not . It remains, that (notwithstanding their extravagant Magnitude) they must have been the bones of Men or Women: Nor doth any thing hinder but they may have been so, provided it be clearly made out, that there have been Men and Women of proportionable Stature in all Ages of the World, down even to our own Days

The whole account is pretty interesting. He speculates about the origin of the bones and their medicinal uses and discusses the particulars of a few giants.

Eh. It only feels dead if you let it.

Fire his ass:

“We strongly urge the Union to part ways with this individual,” read the group’s statement, “to help current and former; staff, players and fans heal and move forward.”

The curious case of Jenna Buglioni still has me scratching my head — why can’t she seem to get on the ice? Seems like the best time to play the kids:

At this point in the season, and with the injuries maybe it’s time to give the fourth-line players a little extra playing time. The fourth line includes first-round draft pick, Jenna Buglioni who played only 1:08 in the most recent game against the Fleet. That’s the least amount of ice time any player had in that game followed by fellow fourth-liner Marah Wagner with 1:25. Brooke Bryant had the most ice time of the three fourth line players with 2:18 which means that the fourth line had a total of 4:51 of playing time combined.

Buglioni is especially interesting in this situation because even if she has failed to perform as the organization would like in previous games, this would be the perfect time to let her work on that. There isn’t a lot to lose standings-wise, and it would make sense that she would benefit from more ice time.

Taking care of yourself is one of the bravest things you can do:

“When it came to hockey, I tried to be tough while still understanding the importance of taking care of yourself for the next generation: no one knows your body better than you,” Howe said. “But when it came to a lump in my chest, I needed my teammates to encourage me to go to the doctor’s and get it checked out. So I lead with that: be brave, no one knows your body better than you do. Reach out and take care of yourself.”

Britta is literally the worst. I hope Megan Carter hits her again when the Frost comes to CPA next month:

Grant-Mentis was injured after being hit from behind by Minnesota Frost forward Britta Curl-Salemme on March 13. She sustained an upper body injury on the play that will now keep the forward out until at least the end of the first week of April.

The Wisconsin game was on at my local women’s sports bar and I saw our captain Hilary Knight on the broadcast, who I learned is a UW Madison alum, so go Badgers, beat the Buckeyes!

The Prem doesn’t make any sense. Aren’t Spurs in the middle of a relegation battle? How do they have players in the UCL team of the week?
