Yeah, I'll probably still check Reddit when it's in Google search results, too, but I'm no longer visiting regularly and I hope that someday I'll be able to replace it for the niche cases, too.

Weird, could have sworn it was at least 1 for you.

The kitchen is usually the big one for me. Finding a hotel with a kitchen (and not $$$$ prices) is hard. Heck, some hotels won't even give you a fridge (and when they do give you a fridge, it's probably the tiniest possible). AirBnB absolutely can have some extra bullshit sometimes, but they're usually considerably cheaper than a hotel and it's standard to have a kitchen.

So the chillies part is obvious enough, but why in beer cans?

I only noticed a small number of bots that were posting the most.

There's also an option in your settings to hide bot posts entirely, but I don't personally want to hide all bots, just the repost ones.

I now downvote most Reddit meta content if it's not constrained to a Reddit specific community. I see it as bad for the health of the site if every community becomes focused on Reddit drama.

I enjoy Reddit drama sometimes, but it can't be so much of the front page and it needs to be using appropriate communities so that people can just unsubscribe if they want to.

I've blocked them, but I wish they'd stop entirely. The reason I blocked them was not even because I disagree with copying content (I'm fine with that in some cases), but because it was just spamming posts that nobody wanted to engage in. It was post after post with zero comments.

Side note: hot sorting sucks and need to be improved. Why the heck does it like to show so many brand new posts with not even a single other person voting on? If I wanted to see new posts, I'd browse new. I expect hot to show me things that at least a couple of people have said "yeah, this is good" to, first (and ideally more than just a couple).

The reason for the approximately 50 character limit is because there's many tools that display a single line and will truncate it if it's more than about that length (though really the point of truncation can vary wildly -- plenty of tools will let you go twice that before they cut you off). So if your one line summary is too long, it'll be cut off and harder to understand your commit at a glance.

You always can elaborate in a second paragraph, at any rate.

There's a Pokemon Go subreddit called TheSilphRoad that was basically the place for in depth discussion on the game. Such subs here have been quiet and shallow.

You know what, this makes me realize of an art theme I've never seen before: Jesus willingly doing drugs (especially harder ones). Could even be great as an ad campaign about helping addicts.

As an aside, I hate when games have limited save files and don't miss how the PS1 memory cards could only store what felt like a dozen saves. I like to make a new save every few hours, just in case of any bullshit.

On the topic of such bullshit, the original Final Fantasy Tactics is the worst for that. Multiple places that can soft lock you due to unexpectedly difficulty battles. Difficulty level of that game was whack. It had some ludicrously overpowered characters that were basically not fun to use because they felt like cheating, but then it would also do stuff like throw you solo into difficult battles that required careful strategizing and a suitably strong build.

Lol, the Seymour fights are some of the worst. Along with a nasty one a bit later that you never got to.

But oof, I'd so encourage revisiting if you ever have the motivation, cause FFX is one of the best games ever and you quit near the peak of the story.
