I think that's just a coincidence because it was also just after buying Oculus and developing the Quest 2 which sold like hotcakes. I think things fizzled out because everyone I know, myself included, got tired of VR after a couple weeks because the software just isn't there and it can be quite isolating to use.

My friends parents had a 32" CRT in their living room on a massive stand and us kids had to lay right in front of it when watching TV which was always a little terrifying because it would have crushed us to death had it ever fallen.
Seems like Satan has the right ideas because this way leaves a ton of room for gifts under the tree.

I can't give you much technical help, but I'm fairly certain that if you're seeing washed out colors on an HDR rip, it means Plex isn't actually playing in HDR and is instead transcoding it down to SDR as this is (or at least used to be) a common issue with it.
If you check the administrator tab in a browser to see the playback information for the stream (or with something external.like Tautulli), does it show that the file is being direct played? That's where I'd start. It could be something with the file, subtitle usage, Plex itself, the client you're using it watch the file, or a network issue that's causing the problem. I used to ignore HDR content entirely as I had similar issues, but with the TCL and LG TVs we have now, both using Roku, HDR content plays (locally) without issue. Remote play doesn't work but that's because we have atrocious upload speeds with Comcast.
Find a brother in law that works in IT. I changed his brakes and he gave me three Optiplex micros that were e-wasted from his work.
Jeep people will defend the Wrangler, but most of the rest of their lineup is competing with Nissan to see who can get the most sub-prime borrowers to buy one and it's brutal too because they're so unreliable that they'll cost these people way more to own than if they'd bought a better brand to begin with.
This is what I was going to suggest too. It should be pretty effective.
That's where you start to question whether it's lifestyle creep or it's really just that hard to get by and wonder how you used to do it on 1/2 or 1/3 of that income.
What's the downside exactly? Pleading guilty doesn't really come with any upside especially if they're putting the death penalty on the table.
The logic is flawed here because vapor and smoke are completely different things. You wouldn't conflate the steam coming off a pot of boiling water with the charred remains of that frozen pizza you forgot about in the oven an hour ago would you?
She's also doing the "choke" gesture Vader used when he was unhappy with one of his minions. In fact it looks like she's doing it with both hands so there's probably two people, or maybe two puppies, being choked just out of frame.
