Sitting on the porch with my morning coffee and first smoke of the day during the summer was always a wonderful experience. Doing the same in 30F in the winter, not so much.

I said it a couple days ago that this election reminded me of our 2020 election and what followed. Center-right liberals are only good at driving people away since all they do is tell you what you want to hear and then go behind your back and do the exact opposite. It's just diet Republicanism here in the US and sounds like it's very similar abroad. Nobody likes diet Republicanism.
And now they're showing locked episodes, which drives me up the fucking wall. Seems to only be with all the podcasts that SirusXM is buying up as of late, which unfortunately make up a good chunk of what I listen to.
They have a point though. You could make the same argument that office culture is better once computers became ubiquitous during this exact same time period.
What does this chart even show? People's lead levels are at 100%?
Edit: okay I understand it now after examining it closer but this seems to contradict what I've heard about lead bans in gasoline and paint causing the crime rates to begin dropping in the late 90s and beyond around 20 years after the bans due to these children reaching adulthood without having been exposed like previous generations. This graph seems to show that it was only GenX who were exposed to a lot of lead, which doesn't make a lot of sense since this stuff was around long before they were born.

I didn't read your whole post but regarding the home size increase, I think part of this is due to the invention of engineered trusses allowing builders to build bigger homes with less wood and less wasted space.
