Yeah I'm basically in the same boat actually,

slightly dysphoric explanationhaven't really tried shaving lately because the last time I did I uh, really didn't like what I saw (year or two pre HRT), and its just not something I can imagine forcing myself to do every day just to see that. I'm hoping I feel better about it the next time I shave.

.

I only started like a month ago, and I'm not out to a lot of people, nor am I really sure what my (realistic) goals are, so I may stop when I feel good about the changes, or I might continue forever lol.

It'd be nice to be androgynous enough to confuse people a little, yknow?

Haven't gotten ma'am'd since starting HRT :/

But it would happen occasionally before, even with a beard and shit lol, so it's bound to happen eventually

This offers some speculative potential. Just regular HRT regimens but with smaller doses probably won't do what you want (levels of E low enough to not eventually result in breasts and such in the absence of testosterone probably will leave you with bone density issues). But if you look at that page, focus on the options that may inhibit breast development, since that is the biggest, most noticeable/irreversible physical change. Few to none of these approaches are well studied of course, but it's something you could potentially try with a very friendly informed consent doctor or DIY, after doing your own research.

It's possible you'd get some or all of the effects you want just by suppressing testosterone. Seems like something like an anti-androgen to suppress testosterone along with an SERM to partly mitigate the loss of bone density caused by low estrogen, could be a viable path to that. Maybe buserelin and raloxifene? Cyproterone acetate and bicalutamide might be more traditional anti-androgen options, but it seems like buserelin is better (more effective, less side effects) if you can get it?

You also can just take regular HRT for a short period of time and see what you think. As far as I'm aware, there's not really much of any chance of permanent physical changes that just sneak up on you in weeks, or even a couple months. Breast development is slow (but mostly permanent), most other things are also relatively slow (and mostly reversible). Infertility is kind of the wildcard that nobody wants to speculate on, but seems to usually be reversible in the case of anti-androgens, but not so much high dose estrogens (this opinion also taken from transfemscience)

Not to say result is certain or any route perfectly safe, but you can experiment if you feel comfortable. My view is: It's your body, own it!

bourgeois decadence is when branded merch? communism is when you only dress in the cheapest possible clothing?

I have some hesitance about it too, but admittedly it wouldn't be non-exploitative even if this happened in a union shop with great profit sharing. The raw materials and t-shirt blanks would likely be another story, and so would the delivery and payment processing, and union shops aren't exactly revolutionary even if they tend to be better for workers.

I can see the argument that its more important to build up a communist media apparatus (and this requires money) than to refuse to make money by not selling anything because of ethical concerns that are basically impossible to fully address.

lawsuits idk, maybe there's more law on this than I think

But inconveniencing customers? idk I think there are ways it could be pulled off without jamming up the checkout lines.

hit da bricks, so to speak

Introducing surge pricing would be a lot more bother than it is worth.

more bother for who though?

if it only bothers the minimum wage cashier and some budget-minded consumers, but it squeezes a few million more in profit out each year it'll happen. There might be enough backlash to it to prevent it from taking off, but if they slow roll it cleverly I can see it happening

that... figures

they weren't even doing pro-IRA stuff really they just played the song clip and then went all "now don't get too mad we don't like the IRA we'll do racist british stuff too"

[–] Chronicon@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I think these are british chuds? They literally referenced someone setting 'classic english literature' to folk music and their example of said literature was LITERALLY The White Man's Burden

so what the fuck is gonna happen when I pick up an item at one price and 15 mins later I go to check out and it's $2 more

That shit's gonna suck so bad for everyone involved lmao

Makes me want to do some first amendment auditor bullshit but for groceries, go around with a gopro and when they change the fucking prices on me I roll the tape showing I was advertised a different price

we get a bit of stuff like that in the central business district, but its more like low wage workers going out and picking up trash than a full sweeping of streets/sidewalks. outside downtown its what I mentioned before. to some extent its because of low density, but also just public services are a joke in the US.
