I thought it had to be a trick of the light but

Only one of those things isn't just Capitalist Innovation (TM) and even then its a liberal half measure that should be considered below the bare minimum

If I hadn't seen this same account being incredibly obtuse and shitty just the other day just to, idk, farm drama? I would be a lot more inclined to think he had a point. Also if he wasn't literally getting paid to farm engagement by twitter: https://xcancel.com/LinkofSunshine/status/1804287056165937495#m

But yeah, you aren't wrong, this guy's just a dick and a liberal

And that's just my level of exposure to him via direct links from hexbear. I don't go on twitter.

Anecdotally my enby friend took T for a while and stopped and still is planning for top surgery, but everyone's different ofc. I'd say its possible to some extent to both keep them and still pass like the other commenter says, I knew a really cool person like that until they moved to maine :(

I found my bus pass! (also used for some other services so really glad I didn't have to replace it again. Gonna probably replace it anyhow with a pride one though if I can get one this year)

depends when "then" is. There could be a texas style grid issue during a major heat wave like, any year now, I feel, or a water crisis brought on by agricultural/golf course usage lol. Though being on a real, connected grid they will probably not be as fucked as TX, and they might crack down on non-human-life-supporting uses of water soon enough to skirt by on that one too (at least for the short term, if you're not homeless/poor/rural)

Sure, mortgages may not matter if society starts outright collapsing but I think it will progress slower than that and that the life threatening issues will start sooner than that.

I know like, probably more people than I can count on one hand, who've moved down there in the last 5 years (though some are more like snowbirds and don't stay all summer)

I said it then that they're gonna be out of groundwater and scorching in the sun like never before within like 10 years but nobody seems to care. I guess they assume they're well off enough to just leave. And they're right, but their finances will probably be wrecked if they have to keep paying a mortgage on a lot in uninhabitable wasteland.

rat-salute

Thanks. I know lemmy.ml has a longer leash for guys like this but I'm glad you agreed this crossed the line

it would be very funny if they just took 10% of the population and plopped it in there. Because it's suspiciously close to exactly 10%

[–] Chronicon@hexbear.net 14 points 1 year ago (2 children)

we need the slop!

jfc. This weirdo is the only active mod of ml c/technology

@dessalines@lemmy.ml this is highly questionable behavior from a mod of a major comm claiming to be "the official lemmy.ml Technology comm"

Edit: though for further context, lemmy.ml has open community registration, like reddit, so its not like all mods are hand picked or approved at all by the admins (unlike some instances). But claiming to be "official" isn't cool and dude should probably be knocked off for defending drawn csam IMO

It's pretty heavy duty for an automated install kind of deal so I wouldn't hold your breath. It runs like 5 containers (nginx, ui, backend, postgres, pictrs). It'd be kind of a fun exercise but I don't use tipi (hadn't even heard of it until just now) and wouldn't want to be responsible for maintaining it

edit: I guess invidious also has a separate DB container and that's supported in tipi. Maybe it is doable after all.
