I didn't know about that. Thanks, that's interesting! Sorry if I sounded a little condescending, I didn't intend to.

It does: Light does not follow the path of minimal distance between two points, but the path of minimal time. This is called Fermat's principle.
Because water has a higher refraction index than air, light is slower in it and therefore takes a longer time to travel through it. Thus, it takes less time to take a longer path that spends more time in the air.
Fun fact: The underlying law of this principle is the principle of least action. This is the most basic law of nature we know of and can be used to derive all of physics.

You don't use exponentially more fuel, but cubically. Exponentially is not just a word for "quickly", but a function.
And anyways, that isn't only the case for speeds higher than 80, but for every higher speed. So it's not like there is an objective sweet spot.

I assume you need an app supporting custom tabs - Firefox also supports this for example.

I know that. But we still need to support the companies that do shit we want, so it's more profitable to do so.

It is Bayerische Motoren Werke. Funnily enough, that's wrong orthography, it should be Bayerische Motorenwerke, so you have a point.

I recently was in the BMW museum and they actually had a whole section dedicated to their Nazi past and how they want to never do that again. Do with that what you will but at least they're not shoving it under the carpet.

CP symmetry has been experimentally measured to be violated. What we still believe is that our world is invariant under CPT symmetry.

Juristen sollen mich gerne berichtigen.

I just looked it up and it seems that the German constitution has more than 350 pages. But the first 20 sections contain the most important and almost unchangeable foundaries.
