Probably just in time to protect themselves against litigation. Now that it's out, I can say that for some reason the news website in question posted that it was breakfast presenter Jon Kay (of whom I have never heard) that was suspended. Apparently he's just on holiday though.
The only news outfit to publically name anyone before the public statement, and they got it wrong. Bravo! 👏
That's just it. Nothing unlawful seems to have occurred at this stage. Maybe he got a bit of Clarkson syndrome about his power and money, that remains to be seen.
But if this all fizzles out and he's able to professionally (and mentally) recover from it, I'd be happy to see/hear him ~~orrsentythr~~ present the news again (edit: keyboard went a bit psuedo-Welsh there ironically...) , when and if he is ready. It'd be like when Stephen Fry went missing and the nation was concerned for his wellbeing and return to public life.
Now it's just a sad story about personal lives being made public. At least the 'young person' is not in the public eye at the moment.
