Oh for fuck's sake. Everybody needs to calm down. Why is everyone starting using a magnifying glass to find any comment by a celebrity that doesn't 100% align with their own beliefs.
It seems like the word transphobe is slapped onto anyone and anything that offers a dissenting opinion or doesn't align completely with this week's LGBTQ newsletter.
I support LGBTQ rights. But I don't agree with everything. This "you're either with us or against us" rhetoric is basically the same as the republicans use.
Republicans: "Free market!" Also republicans: "Buy American" "we need to ban Chinese companies from importing and selling goods in the u.s." "Outsourcing labor is just smart business"
Crap. There goes my illusion of Canada being a better place.

Haven't gone back to Reddit since. But what I do miss most is the sorting algorithm. I don't know if it was just the abundance of posts, or better sorting. But on lemmy I keep seeing the same posts over and over again, regardless of my sorting setting. But I'll be patient and hope that it gets better.

You could take a look at refind, if you're on a efi system. Refind is a boot manager that can either chainload other Bootmanagers, kernels as well as eny efi bootloader entries. Even if grub is borked. You can probably set it up on a usb stick or even find a rescue distro that uses refind. It's good as a failsafe if you can't get grub to work.
