I am pretty decent at the no spending. Have been for a few years. I hate waste and consuming crap for the sake of it.

I do need to go back to basics. I still need to purchase and live somewhat conveniently, as I have a family. Some stuff that’s worked for me. Bulk buying once a year. Anything non perishable toilet roll, soap powder etc. I buy a years work and shove it in the garage. Agin bulk with items like salt, vinegar, oil. I then decant to smaller bottles. There are lots of sauces I can make myself. I am good at using what’s about for salad dressings. Use leftovers. I really enjoy them anyway.

There are more, I just can’t think. It’s still buying but buying less and smarter is my start.
Any other ideas that anyone can think of?

So how do we start rallying against this? Any ideas? I am trying to spend less and also choose less convenience products. Additionally I choose bargain shops, B&M even Aldi etc where I can. It’s not a big step but it’s a message.

What other options or actions can we undertake to start tackling this greedy behaviour?

If you don’t like YouTube with ads then simply don’t use it. Your life can exist without it.

You’re on a community chat board, people comment. Do you really have to be so grouchy? At least I am here part of the conversation. If you wanna be angry point it at YouTube/google etc not randoms on the internet. I can be cynical but it’s lesser than other things I could be.

Our world is so fast now, I spent years chasing it and forgot the peaceful joy that comes with slow and practical. I do miss my old CD player. Might mooch around for a second hand one as I miss exactly what you just described.

Yup pretty much ruins all social media. Monitzation of products, of emotions, of deeds. It’s endless cringe of idiots wanting to be famous or plugging the death out of everything.

Not able to drink your water properly, I have this tool that I love that helps your non existent problem (que stupid face acting. Blah blah it’s not a glass, it’s like a glass but it’s not and lovvvve it. Type gullible in the comments for a link to buy it at a stupid price.

You are correct. But the right tool in the wrong hands is still non credible in the eyes of perception.

This is my take. Elon just showed the world what we all knew. The tool is not trustworthy. All other AI suppliers are busy trying to work on credibility that grok just butchered.

Same. The problem with going blog etc means not only work but also does not alllow you to have privacy.

We could likely have some kind of community here but it would be somewhat country specific. Would you do it products recommends upon request or pick a product category and put it out there?
