Like many things, reality beat the fiction. See: Street Fighter: The Movie (game), developed by CAPCOM itself!

a lot of us have turned into total weenies that like puppers and cry a lot?

I'll have you know I was always a total weenie that liked puppers! The edgelord shit came from my himbo ass being confronted with the increasing horrors of the United States and the powerlessness to blunt the tide.

I am so sorry Zoomers, we failed you hard

No. Zoomers now know what not to do. We tried the reasonable and peaceful approaches, just like we were asked. Now there is nothing but disillusionment and the ice-cold thousand yard stare of the next generation as the panicked political elite understand what they broke. The next generation gets to skip the pretense and get straight to the point.

Should I make myself less outstandingly hot or is that what the EVIL COMMIES want?

One thing I learned at the Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too is that maybe there's more to life than being really, really, really ridiculously good looking.

I feel like I'm seeing the arrow in the FedEx logo for the first time.

Definitely! I feel these three novels in particular show the Asimov turns (setup, subversion, double-subvert) very well, and the cover art captures that essence somehow.

Harder sci-fi definitely hits different than space opera
