@coffeebiscuit, both Vgy and FileCoffee have APIs to add them to several screenshot tools. They are way better and faster than Imgur..
I use FileCoffee very often in Mastodon, when I want to toot long texts, which open in a new tab (.txt or .pdf) and Vgy with ShareX.

@coffeebiscuit, the worst meme is to use imgur in Lemmy, it's one of the worst spyware. Use instead https://vgy.me, which is private and clean. Another good and private host and sharing site is https://file.coffee for any kind of Image, video, multimedia and documents.

@spaduf @igalmarino, almost all fediverse sites are more or less linkable (limited by the corresponding format, which are different), like Lemmy, Mastodon, Friendica, Diaspora......
@pingu, anyway it's good to have several search engines at hand, apart of DDG, Startpage, Qwant, Mojeek f.Exmp. are good options.
@pingu, normally it solves it very well, in all the time that I use it it has given me good and reliable answers. On very few occasions it failed with any expression, but then it offers a direct search on the net.
@pingu, I've been using it for 7 years and it has never appeared overloaded. There are some of the functions that I do not use and because of that I have hidden, however there are many others that come in very handy. But this is handled differently for each user, depending on how they use the browser. You can use extensions from the Chrome Store, but most are redundant in Vivaldi and not needed. You can give it the simple look of an old IE or of an Eurofighter panel and everything in between.
@pingu @BrokenToshy, Startpage is my secondary search engine, mainly for images, the other secondary most used is Mojeek, but my main and first search is Andisearch (AI) with unique features and one of the most private search engine out there

DDG is not my favorite search engine, but it can be considered private and reliable.
@Taxxor @Tvkan, No, there are principles that cannot be crossed due to ethics, at least for me it is a no go. There may be contributions that may be of interest, but this does not justify an interaction with Nazis. There are also contributions of interest in other groups, probably even more. If I'm in an instance where I've seen Nazi garbage, xeno- or homophobic comments, the next automatic step is to block this instance, I don't want this shit to appear on my timeline.
