Optimise for which PC though? There's only so much you can optimise for general PCs.

The same reason speed limits exist for cars: safety. A bike crashing into a pedestrian at 30mph is still going to cause a lot of damage.

I'd like to have a headphone jack but I'm not that bothered either way. USB C dongles are cheap and I just leave it attached to my headphones.

Eh not really. I find it's uncomfortable and it's missing what I deem to be crucial features in 2023 such as hall effect sticks, mechanical face buttons, trigger stops and rear buttons.

Pipewire came installed by default on my OpenSUSE TW install and I never get audio in games. I have to constantly switch audio devices until it finally decides to work. I swapped it out for pulseaudio and I've never had an issue since.

Is there any way of "installing" PWAs to the app drawer rather than been limited to a shortcut on the home screen?
