what do you really save when you personally save for example $.30 on a transaction when the AI spends five dollars in energy?

Exactly. The economy right now is a big ball and cup game so that the rich can convince workers to keep funding their kleptocracy.

We pay taxes for public services and utilities that generate private profits while the rich get to benefit off the infrastructure that we funded. The cups, the balls, and the god damn table were all built and paid for by the working class.

business point of view, how much more for the product/service would you be willing to pay for a human operator

Inversely; How comfortable would you be in a society where you couldn't access another human if you couldn't afford one? Because that's where prioritizing profit over people is going to lead us.

I thought microsoft 'owned' OpenAI. Why would they incorporate something owned by captain ketamine?

Perhaps a Canadian hotel chain is plaintiff?

Either way booking.com is ironically the best way to add an element of uncertainty in your hotel booking actually being booked.

From what I've seen most hotel chains offer discounts for booking through them that match 3rd party sites anyways. Whatever cost difference is worth it having the concierge at the hotel in full control of any payment or customer service issues.

do you have an actual argument or are you just nitpicking?

And what part of that comment was indented to make me an ally or not perceive you as outrightly hostile?

Cute adhominim at the end there. Couldn't resist could you? Ya hypocrite.

Yabut if that 500B was from the CHIPS act than you know they gotta re-re-roll that and say they did it first.

The CHIPS act was already gonna take like a decade to really pay off. Semiconductors are only made as cheaply as they are because of the unique geo-economic proximity of Taiwan (skilled labour) and China(cheap labour).

And the equipment to make semiconductors is proprietarily not American.

There's no way any western supply chain can compete in the short term.

No I have an idea to fix food bank shortages, while creating jobs and teaching practical skills. The shortage that occurred collectively in your brains I have nothing for.

Thank you. I'm literally just trying to fix food banks not having enough food and a handful of people are insisting I've suggested this will replace Loblaws.

Of course they are. The entire world is cashing in on our real estate market and leaving Canadians out in the cold.

I used to be a mortgage broker. There are Chinese monoline lenders that exclusively lend to students/immigrants; and do not require income verification. Meanwhile down payment verification (making sure the $ wasn't illegal etc) is ridiculously easy to get around. So that means when it comes time to debt service the mortgage, Canadians are at a huge dis-advantage because foreign buyers using those lenders can essentially bypass debt servicing entirely.

If those foreign buyers default than the property belongs to the bank, aka the chinese government.

I've got nothing against people moving to Canada to become Canadian. But foreign governments are using Canadian real estate to park their money and it's hurting Canadians; including immigrants.

They've done nothing to earn it, nor given me any confidence they'd know what to do with one.

Exactly. Like Jagmeet's solution to housing was a low interest mortgage for first time home buyers... which does nothing to make down payments cheaper or rentals more affordable.
