If they kept it a secret, they could sell the gold continuously while the value slowly crashes, and still make a ton of money. But if you tell the world you can make gold for "free", the value craters overnight and you get nothing.

Thats exactly my point, fleece the investors, and it doesnt matter if the tech works or not.

Which in fairness could be a non-native speaker using chatgpt for translation/cleanup. The real tell for me is that if Red Cross etc can't get money and aid into Gaza, how the fuck is gofundme doing it...

but five tonnes of gold out from mercury for every gigawatt (~2.5 GWth) of electricity generated.

They are gonna spend more time carting away gold than generating electricity. If this is real, and I have my uneducated doubts, why would they tell anyone about it? They will be wildly rich with such a proven gold generation source.

Or facilitating an online scam...

Maybe we are remembering it differently, but i remember it was a huge cliffhanger, she was falling apart and not healing properly, and there was the stuff about the knights of serbia, none of it was resolved.

The matrix. Those beautifully choreographed ~~fight~~ sex scenes would put the kama sutra to shame.

There are a lot of transparent elevators. But perhaps those are real elevators, and the others are transporters.

And worse, they still advertise it and recommend it to new subscribers :(

Careful, you'll upset the Firefly fandom.

The worst part for me is they built up 3 seasons worth of story and lore just to forget it completely. Such a waste.

It is the first time, but eventually this risk of stepping in your own landmine just makes it stressful.

Hello All,

With less than 5 days to kick off, I thought I'd make a post to let you all know that this isnt an unmoderated ghost town, and I will be creating the daily threads as per last year. I am time zone-challenged, so if its late you'll have to be patient and bear with me.

Looks like the leaderboard from last year can be reused, so I think everything is all sorted!

If there is anything I can do to improve on last year, please let me know.

Looking forward to seeing the new challenges and novel solutions!

Hi All. I have been watching a lot of House lately, and just started "Extrodinary Attorney Woo". I am curious to know what you all think of their portrails of Autism. Is it pandering? Representation? Romantisation?

Also see "The Good Doctor", "Atypical", "Love on the spectrum" etc.

Cutting Garolite (G10) (programming.dev)
submitted 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) by CameronDev@programming.dev to c/3dprinting@lemmy.ml

I posted here a while back when my glass bed failed. One of the suggestions was to replace with Garolite or G10. My sheet finally arrived and i set about cutting it down to size.

...

Within 4cm, my basically unused jigsaw blade was worn flat, and by the end of the first cut (20cm), there is basically no more teeth.

For the second side, I tried using a multitool cutter, and within a few millimeters it was visibly blunt (plastic and metal tools). Finished it off with a standard wood hand saw, which seemed to go better.

So warning to anyone considering garolite, dont use power tools, it will fuck them up.
