Bring up that you're terrified of Hamas and make it seem like a good faith question.

Milo said something similar about TERFism in the UK. TEFFism will take over your entire life, even if you're otherwise a normal person.

For a laugh, imagine Trump making these kinds of statements to the press after one of the big beautiful navy boys somehow manage to accomplish a mission without losing $ 30 million worth of equipment in the process.

Israel has always been a thorn in the side of Legalists in the State department who want to use international law as a cudgel against the global south. Nobody other than white Americans and Europeans believe that the rule of law is absolute. Though i will argue that Israel has given a hell of a lot of good press to the russians, just by virtue of Russia not being as bloodthirsty.

When my coworker was making a remark about Russia intentionally targetting hospitals, he looked so defeated when people pointed out that Israel has just made that the new norm, and our prime minister has been rabidly defending them in their "anti-terrorism" operations.

Found out today, after more than 18 months in this job, that one of my coworkers is apparently gay. This comes as quite a surprise to me, because the guy is also hella reactionary and has never seen a police officer he didn't immediately agree with on all accounts, even when said police oficer is contradicted by video. I think this site (and my experience with the queer student groups at university) gave me sort of a warped perspective on LGBT-radicalness (coolness) and now I feel slightly stupid.

Tbf after watching a bunch of news casters talk about how Anti-semitism is rising it is pretty weird to vote for the guy talking about how it's the Jews who moved the brown people into your suburb (not referencing shit that Wilders have said, just referencing general far-right statements).

That was the TV-show. The games are a lot more in their vein.

Also the gay parts of the TV-show almost killed quite a few of them from bursting bloodvessels in the brain (have forgotten the english/latin name for this)

Obama more or less demobilized all the people who had volunteered for him / fought for him / against the republicans after he got in power. When obama was sworn in, quite a lot of people predicted a sea change in the American political system, since Obama was seen as the tidebringer of a new generation of motivated Democrats. The problem was that since he chose to not use his immense popularity for much, a lot of that energy that came from the financial crisis and the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan was just allowed to vanish/dissipate, including a lot of the vaguely related groups that had helped Obama get elected. For instance the ACORN org which mostly did voter registration in poor / minority neighbourhoods was defunded after a Project Veritas hit-job, since Obama understood politics as him having to work with the conservatives (in both parties) and those guys fucking hated him at every turn.

When my wife and I went to Iceland a year ago, my wife was worried about being able to find halal food, in particular lamb. So before we left she asked me if I would be comfortable with being the one who had to do the slaughtering, because she doubted that the small coastal town we would be staying in had a halal butcher/super market, given that we would probably be doubling the towns muslim population upon arrival. "luckily" i didn't end up having to do the slaughtering, but it did make me question if our family should go vegetarian for a while.

In general, large corporations tend to make a lot more sense if you think about them like feudal europe. There are so many decisions from management and above that literally don't make sense in a capitalist framework that you have to go further back to understand how those knuckledraggers think.

I mean, League of Legends had some bangers in the early days, like Lilballz, the world champion from Taiwan, or BigFatJiji, the NA midlaner also from Taiwan originally.
