Erdogan is a living fucking embodiment of that scene. I still don't know what the fuck he believes in aside from petty corruption. He seems like he picking fights with his neighbours while also complaining about everything that results from him picking said fight. Like, so many of his decisions are just baffling to me and seemingly make no fucking sense.

Same thing when Ukraine was apparently detaining Chinese citizens who were in the country at the outbreak of the war and China responded by sending a strongly worded letter and then nothing more.
Bourdain was an average Burger, so nothing surprising there. But his quote about beating Kissinger to death (preferably with a frying pan) still sticks because it was said after Bourdain did a tour in Cambodia and firsthand saw the end-goal of Kissingers supposed genius.
Thomas Massie has been consistently against any of the symbolic declarations of support for Israel for a while, to the point where AIPAC tried to run a smear campaign against him with his face in a black and white poster with the Words "Jew Hater" written underneath. I think he responded by declaring it election interference, but nothing came of it (obviously) but the guy somehow managed to stay seated.

Yesterday my county's city hall had the ukraine flag flown upside down for the entire duration of the day, and seemingly nobody gave a shit enough to either tell them or to fix it.
