Supposedly a large reason for the Royal Mail being in the shitter, is the fact that they can't really negotiate rates with the private companies they deliver parcels / packages for. So noted smol-bean Amazon Inc. gets to have all their shit in the UK delivered for litteral pennies.

The Royal Mail was privatized not too long ago (2013-2015) and is now a private entity listed on the London Stock Exchange. While it has a bunch of legal obligations it cannot escape, it can however have it's operating budget cut down to the bone to essentially force the government to bail it out.

Whenever I occassaionally try to remove some of the brainworms of the people around me, whenver they talk about "stalin and hitler being the same", i mention the fact that if Stalin had been as brutal/genocidal as Hitler had, there would have been no Germans left in any of the Soviet occupied territories. Nazi Germany killed more than 20 million civillians, and if Stalin had actually sought revenge there would not have been anything left of Germany east of the occupation line.

I always just thought that "expat" meant a person dispatched by a company or organization to do work in another country and with an expectation that the worker in question moves back to their country of origin when their contract is over. Whereas an immigrant tends to be a person who moves permanently / with an idea to settle in another country. Though i will agree with the other commenters here that my definition of "expat" is essentially a whites-only word for "migrant worker".

The CIA (and Mossad and other intelligence agencies with a long history of wetwork) are not dangerous because they are puppet-masters secretly controlling everything, but because they are allowed to do whatever they want and with almost an infinite budget. I think in general people on the left tend to overestimate the intelligence community's skillset, which leads to them making the wrong conclusions. Obviously I'm not saying that these freaks aren't extremely dangerous, but they aren't omnipotent.
