To be honest, if you wait a year or two (or more) until it's discounted or even deeply discounted, it'll probably be more worth it anyway. I.E. compare the clusterfuck that Diablo 3 was at launch to the state it's in nowadays, which is "pretty good". Not amazing by any means, but worth the low price it sells for during a sale.

I was in the open betas for Diablo 4 and I have this to say: it's better than Diablo 3, and has the potential to be good with time. That said, I totally agree with your sentiments. Modern Blizzard is trash. Most of the OG crew have left already. They don't have the same soul as what they used to have.

At the $70 minimum too, if I remember right. Deluxe editions, etc. were even pricier.

You know, I thought the "Vote against it, but take the money and credit anyway." Republicans were bad, but Desantis is doing a whole "Hold my beer." thing over here.

Deadlight, from Tequila Works. I bought it for less than $3 on a whim (might have even been $1) during a Steam Sale on the last day, because "Why not" I thought. Then I actually gave it a shot, and it turned out to be really good. Especially surprising since I don't normally like side scroller puzzles with action elements. The difficulty was just right, and the forgiving checkpoints did away with the usual frustrations I have with games like this.

Well, at least Karen isn't on there.

Looks like it's the software implementation of MMORPG - Many Men Online Roleplaying Girls.

And the "girl" they're roleplaying is your mother in law. It's all like, "Why can't you do better for yourself, I never thought you were good enough for her." "When my husband (and her father) used to Raid, he got every pull right the FIRST time, he didn't wipe as much as you. I never should have let her marry you."

Like I (and others) keep saying. We're already a Cyberpunk Dystopia, just without the Cyber.

To be totally honest, both the old AND new testament have lots of sentiments like this, including much of the teachings of Jesus. The new Republican "Prosperity Gospel" is actually a pretty newfangled thing that was once unpopular and seen as fringe. It's manipulative billionaires and corporate types who co-opted it and made it mainstream by bribing well-spoken pastors into changing their tune.

Hence movements and political parties such as Christian Socialism, and old school Catholicism having things such as dislike of excess profits, lending money at interest, the year of Jubilee (forgiveness of all debts every 50 years or so) vows of poverty, etc.

Not Christian myself (anymore) but I found it absolutely fascinating how "Conservative" Christians are basically anti-christs and also just like the Pharisees and corrupt Kings and such that Jesus (and prophets before him) were always haranguing.

Not too shocking. A lot of pre-built vendors screw things up. I don't actually enjoy building my own PC's, but do so every 5 years or so to avoid all the bullshit and low quality crap that so many OEM "Gaming" PC sellers try to foist on gullible consumers.

Plus, I can usually save at least a hundred dollars or more off their asking price. To be fair though, I live 40 minutes away from a Micro Center, and it's worth driving there to pick up everything once from there every half decade or so. I used to do comparison shopping and buy bits and pieces off of Newegg, Best Buy, Amazon, etc. but after going back and forth, realized that just buying it all at once from there was cheaper, faster, easier, and also made returning / exchanging things much easier. Plus, a lot of online stores have just gone to shit over the years, especially Newegg.

Given how much of a douche he's being (and only because he has organizational power, and not because he has people skills) in the event of a disaster, he'd probably be one of the ones to bite it first, or to be sent on an mission for expendables, to be honest.

When you can't just wave around money or org chart power to solve your problems, then people will start showing how they really feel about you. The way he's running Reddit into the ground shows that he's not a good leader, and the way he's pissing everyone off right now by following in the footsteps of a huge failure (Musk) who's also a jerk is just proving that he's an idiot AND a douche that wouldn't do well if society went awry.

That feeling when you play Monster Hunter, but think of it more as an "actively living off the land" game than a hunting game.

Everyone else has answered your other questions, but let me just say that I've used KDE Neon (while distro hopping) it's both beautiful and functional. The latest KDE developments are really solid and intuitive, and based on their development updates I've seen on Mastodon and elsewhere, it seems like they're really starting to understand their userbase.

I.E. they understand that most people want to double click icons to launch them even though almost the entire development team prefers single click. They're not doing the tunnel-vision dev thing where they force what they love on users even though the vast majority of the userbase prefers the opposite.

Edit: It looks and feels gorgeous, and even similar alternatives like Kubuntu kind of feel a little worse to me. Then again, I'm a serious Cinnamon / KDE fan, so other peoples' mileage may vary.
