They're saying that just because you claim something ought to be a certain way it has no bearing in how it is, or ever was.

This is a common thing done by libs to support capitalism. They talk about how it "ought" to work, as if there is any way for capitalism to exist that is not inherently anti-social. Its a defense used by the cynical and well meaning alike, a deflection to ignore the reality of how these hierarchical relationships were always designed to be. Its similar to how libs say its not capitalism its "crony capitalism"

What you're saying ought to be not only isn't, but never was. And talking about how it "ought to be" isn't a defense of reality

smuglord fallacy fallacy

Leftists wouldn't vote for us, so we lost. We just have to appeal more to the center next time!

Why are they going this far to the mat on their messaging and optics about this?

Obviously the US is always going to support its #1 vassal in the region. Its actions will always be to support Isreal in ots canpaign of apartheid and genocide. That's what they've been doing for decades.

But usually they play this game of looking like they almost kind of care about Palestinians. Not in a material way, but just in messaging and optics. Like what's to be lost in not going full ghoul just in a press conference?

I'm glad their message is matching their actions for once so it can radicalize some people on this, i just don't get what's in it for them?

Exactly. I have no clue what it is that libs are imaging will happen. We know exactly what Trump will do as president because it already happened. It'll be like that. Things will get worse, excactly like they will if Biden is re-elected.

No. Corn Pop was going to beat Biden up because Joe insulted him while working as a lifeguard. Biden apologized to Corn Pop so he gave him a pass.

Edit: its not really clear why Biden thinks this is a good story to tell. He acted like an asshole while in a position of marginal authority, and got called on it by someone tougher than him. When confronted by consequences, Joe caves and applogizes for the insult. Corn Pop is magnanimous enough to choose mercy and not beat the shit out of Biden.

seeing how openly pro war Biden is and has been has got me fucked up.

That's totally understandable. Its disgusting to see. Biden has always been massively pro-war, but no one who can become president in the US will be different though.

Its horrible to witness comrade heart-sickle

[–] BurgerPunk@hexbear.net 8 points 2 years ago

I don't think that's totally true. A lot of libs would be upset by this, but would support Isreal. They probably wouldn't care enough to not vote blue, but they'd care more about not appearing islamophobic while they support a genocide

Biden hasn’t given a shit since he beat up Corn Pop. If you don’t believe me go back and watch old Biden’s clips when he was championing for Bush’s Iraq War. The guy is a ghoul through and through.

Biden is a ghoul through and through. Just a minor point, but Biden did not canonically beat up Corn Pop, nor his crew of "bad boys." Biden would have gotten his ass beat

Libertarians do not really believe in anti-war stuff. Some ghoul would explain to President Private Roads that supporting Isreal makes line go up or dime shit and the status quo would be maintained
