Agree but why would you assume a fat person is drinking ten litres of soda a day ? They could have some sort of disease, diagnosed or not.

Me too. Once I was talled "Aren't you gonna eat that?" That's when I realised I was unconsciously saving food for the end.

A healthy body use the other end of the digestive system to out the useless calorie. If you take on weight there is too much calories and something else that is wrong with your life style. If everyone in a society takes weight there is too much calories and something else that is wrong with your society.

I remember watching through an episode of Brooklyn Nine Nine where a character famous for its "special" culinary taste brough soup for a sick colleague. He explains that he first hesitated btw beef and chicken until he though of goat.
I paused a few second to understand what the comic of the scene was supposed to be. Then I finally got the fact that eating a goat is supposed to be something funny.
It does matter. Policies are different in different countries partially because different folks have different expectations. Autonomous states? One state? Centralised administration? Descentralised administration? Culture plays a big role in which you would prefere.
Geography also matter. Borders can not be consider the same if you are inland, on an island or your country is an achipelago.
In some country, cold weather can be so hard that heating is essential to survival. In other, people could sleep all year long directly on the ground without catching a cold. Do your constitution should considere access to heating and warm cloth for all citizens ?

So of course the majority of people who store the excedent calories have some sort of body disfunction. Maybe because they have mistread their body in the past, maybe for some other reason. Either way, it does not mean that are now capable for fix their body issue in order to be able to lose weight. Will power doesn't explain it all.
