I was in either a bad fancy hotel or an upscale motel last week. Valet parking only, $40/day.

My room had an excellent view of the parking lot which was outside and ground floor. It also wasn’t very full.

But since it was valet only, there were workers there 24x7. It was an odd money grab.

Get a shitty laptop or tablet and access this pic remotely.

For games use Steam’s streaming app.

In many places if you’re found guilty of committing a crime and it’s “gang related” then the consequences go up. I think the same should happen to cops.

I’m not talking about the actions that can be debated, I’m talking about the ones where a fool did something egregious like tase a teacher for not obeying unnecessary instructions.

Librarians are an odd trifecta of determinism, inclusion, and crazy. I don’t envy those on the wrong side of their wrath.

In the US if you want to leave your job, you won’t get unemployment. If you’re laid off you can.

I agree with you that it’s wrong, but that’s how it currently works in the US.

No one was talking about getting or being fired. The boss wants them to work with the compensation they were offering.

The workers decided they wanted different compensation.

The workers are free to all stop working at once, but just like if you decide to quit, you’re normally not allowed to collect unemployment.

Again, I’m for this. I think everyone that is working should have the minimum needed to survive at the very least, and it’s abhorrent that we don’t have that.

Small iterative improvements vs big “innovation” failures?

Unemployment is not for when people decide to leave a job. It’s for when your employer lays you off. Going on strike is much different than being laid off.

In one hand, voluntary unemployment funded by taxes seems unfair.

On the other, fuck the man. The wealth imbalance needs to be fixed and this is a step in the correct direction.

Throw stuff out. Hot sauce from 2 years ago? Toss. Condiment packs from last week that you will never use? That can of hard kombucha your friend left behind?

Toss it all out. It does not good taking up space if you’re never going to use it.

“Here is every illegal thing you’ve done since you were conceived, including the ones in countries that the US has an extradition agreement with. Also, here is how much we will pay you to be our bitch. Would you like to continue this discussion?”
