He was in the US military and now has the nickname 'Cheese' from his grandchild to be known by instead of the mentally abortive attempt his squad gave him?

Dude, take the win and don't complain. There's definitely worse things to be known as.

The same thing a cat would do. Look at them both, give a slow blink, then stand up and walk away to go do my own thing.

No no no, an NFT purchase only means you own the concept of that NFT.

I learned that from Futurama.

I meant structure as in existing stuff, not 'structural' as in load-bearing. Extra wood would indeed still count as 'structure' within the context I meant.

This is, however, not just extra wood. What was cut through in the picture is floor joists, which are what holds up the flooring and supports whatever is on the floor, including people and furniture. Cutting these joists severely compromised the integrity of the floor. Now instead of a squeak from stepping in that spot, it's far more likely that a loud crack followed by a fall through the floor will be the result of a heavy step.

Why not just use hangers? No way a metal bracket doesnt exist for hanging pipe from joists. DIY some metal wire and a screw to hold it if you have to, hang that sucker like fresh venison, but why cut existing structures?

This feels like a comic about invisible disability.

I feel a little more seen now.

And yet there is a such a surplus of milk that the US gov has bought the extra in order to keep cheese prices sustainable for the high number of dairy farmers, then turned the milk into a national stockpile of cheese and then sell it cheaply to help find the entire racket, for the last few decades.

The totality of knowledge that 47 has at any one time wouldn't fill a thimble. Pertinent reminder of the straight up bribe that he was given by ABC once before, as admitted by himself in this message, and the fact that he is expecting another one to look away this time as well.

That's a pretty fast Sainthood, if I remember correctly. Didn't it used to take decades after death for that to happen?

I thought he slapped a man for making a joke? I can see why many folks would see little difference, I mean violence is violence, but if we're talking degrees Id rather get doses of slap then punch. Still unacceptable in the situation, however, and I believe what ever issue Will had that night skills have been handled in private.

All that being said, the man has aged and people move on.

I had 3 configs I was testing for No Man's Sky, and since the last couple updates the community configs are broken. If I launch the game those configs come up as totally empty of assigned controls. I can switch to a Hello Games config and it works fine. I can't seem to find any way to delete a configuration once it's been downloaded. I was hoping that deleting and re-download would fix the issue.

After seeing some folks noticing a comment I made elsewhere in this instance, I thought a full post would be best. For those who don't know, the Steam Deck has a feature called Nested Desktop, which allows fast access to Desktop mode without needing to leave Game Mode or reboot into and out of modes.

To use this, go into desktop mode, open the menu and use the search function to look for "Nested Desktop". Now right click and add that to Steam. When you boot into Game mode, you'll see a new item added called Nested Desktop, which you can open to access desktop mode while still in game mode.

I found out about this almost a week ago and so far I use it most for referencing my digital game guides or searching NMS portal codes while still gaming. It's pretty seamless and really opens up some nice options, like modding a game and being able to boot it faster while having Game mode controls available.

Back in the same ol' place again. Let's see how we do with the second go 'round.

It's disappointing that copyright infringement could cause these people to spend time in prison, but the predatory practices of the companies they where competing with are punished with no more then fines. A "cost of doing business" for the corporate aristocrats. This is the threat the upper class uses on the rest of us, and all too often do not suffer themselves.

Want a 3D printer in New York? Get ready for fingerprinting and a 15 day wait

Assembly Bill A8132 has been assigned a "Same As" bill in the Senate: S8586 [NYSenate.gov] [A8132 - 2023]

I don't own a gun, I never have and I don't plan to at any time in the future. But if these pass in the NYS Senate and Congress, it would be required to submit fingerprints for a background check then wait 15 days, before you could own any "COMPUTER OR COMPUTER-DRIVEN MACHINE OR DEVICE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT FROM A DIGITAL MODEL."

This isn't even going to stop any crimes from happening, for pity sakes regular guns end up in criminal charges all the time, regardless of background check laws. How about some real change and effective measures, rather then virtue-signaling and theater illusion for a constituency?
