It should be noted that lithium is everywhere on the earth's surface and it is hardly a limited resource like say petroleum or cobalt. The bottleneck to mass production of lithium batteries is in the refining process, and this is where China currently holds a dominant position.

How about we erect statues of Lee Harvey Oswald and Sirhan Sirhan to remember their place in American history.

It's pretty funny how people are amazed whenever a Westerner is fluent in a non-European language because the norm is the ex-pat who has lived for decades abroad and still demands that the locals speak English.

Then you will probably not be pleased to know that AI tools are increasingly being used in blockchain analysis to trace transactions back to their owners. What a terrible convergence of both of these technologies.

This is basically a self imposed embargo that will ensure that we are outside observers to a world that is rapidly transitioning to renewable energy.

Between this and his disgust for the South Dakotan puppy murderer, Trump is building some solid animal rights cred. Sure he's mostly concerned with the optics of it all, but he's still on the right side of the issue.

There's almost a perfect correlation between how readily a person refers to their car with female pronouns with how much they will resist using them for a trans woman.

In the late 19th century, a recurring complaint in Germany was that the Reich had a relatively small colonial empire compared to other nations, especially the United Kingdom.[34] As a result, "Indianthusiasm" served as a sort of Handlungsersatz-an untranslatable term meaning a surrogate for an action that substitutes for real power.[34] Many of the colonial adventure stories in 19th century Germany had as their theme "stories of sexual conquest and surrender, love and blissful domestic relations between colonizer and colonized, set in colonial territory, stories that made the strange familiar and the familiar 'familial'".[35] A recurring theme of "Indianthusiasm" suggested that German immigrants would be act in a morally superior manner towards the indigenous population of North America than the "Anglo-Saxon" powers of Great Britain, Canada, and the United States; this theme also promoted the idea that Germans held a genuine interest in Native American culture that other Europeans lacked.[34]

lol Germans disappointed that they missed out on r*ping their way across the New World and fantasizing that they would be gentler than the Anglos.
